A moment of silence for Blake Griffin's career, please.
Hearing Bill Simmons on Cowherd's show this morning only served as a grim reminder of what the poor guy's in for. And I can't wait to see how much of a positive influence for him Zach Randolph will be.

We got a project when DeJuan Blair and Sam Young were RIGHT THERE.

We (the Knicks) Got Jordan Hill, and that PG Douglas who looks like a Charlie Ward type, which wouldnt be too bad. I'm actually very (cautiously) excited, because both guys look like an excellent fit. I'm also reading rumors that we have a shot at obtaining Rubio, which would be outstanding if we can trade Nate Robinson for him.

I would have no problem with that what so ever. Hell if it took David Lee and Nate Robinson to land Rubio I would go for it. Lee and Robinson are both over valued because of the system they play in. Both are role players at best and if they are your best players your team isn't going to be that good. Rubio is a cocky kid who would fit right in with the team's system and the city.
This news gives me hope that there is a future for this team.

I really hope so. We havent had hope in years. Also, this is coming on the 10 year anniversary of the last time the Knicks meant anything, and of the debacles of the Weiss draft (99), the makes no sense John Wallace signing(also 99), and the Ewing trade disaster ('00)
Tyler Hansbrough. I'm excited, though judging by the mixed reaction of things I've been reading, I'm wondering if my excitement is justified. Jeez, he won like every award there is to win in college basketball, and everyone's like, "He'll be a solid NBA player, putting together a decent 10-year career"?

Seven years from now we'll see this as the first step towards OKC re-building after Durant left....or a short term rental as George bolts for the Lakers. Personally, I like the trade for OKC.
