If you noticed things looking extra sluggish over the past, oh, hour or so, I had been doing some database indexing to try to get past some of our more notorious data retrieval slowdowns. The indexing REALLY killed performance for about 20 minutes, but it's done now. (Or at least until I get another bright idea.) Hopefully things will show a bit more pep going forward - especially to all the spiders who loooooooove to visit us!
So, did the indexing improve performance? By how much?
You can never know everything, and part of what you know is always wrong. Perhaps even the most important part. A portion of wisdom lies in knowing that. A portion of courage lies in going on anyways.-- Robert Jordan (1948-2007), The Wheel Of Time
