The NHL skill competition is tonight and I'm excited because it's the only good thing that comes out of this weekend. The all star game is a joke just like the pro bowl and baseball's version. But the competition tonight is for real and superb. I'll come back with results later.

All I got to say about that Dany Heatley kid...boy's got skills...if ya don't know, now ya know. Shootout to decide it...an all-star game with some drama...how bout that!

The Jeremy Roenick ass kissing has got to STOP. Yeah, it's always fun to joke around and have a good time, but Roenick is perhaps a little more concerned with mic time and self promotion.
I enjoy the comraderie between hockey players and hockey fanatics as much as everyone, but having Thorne, Pang and especially Clement laugh at EVERYTHING gets irritating. Melrose gets a pass because he gets in the best one liners, but I usually get the feeling that the rest of the commentators force the laughing and the joking around way too hard in order to keep up with the players ribs and inside jokes.
It may just be me....and if it is, yikes. Still, an outstanding game that will stay in my video library. This game was a keeper.
I worked with a lady who is close friends with his parents...got to meet him one day, really nice, down-to-earth guy. I'm glad to see him get a national showcase today.

Very enjoyable game this year. Nice to see minimal dump & chase for once. On a side note, does Sheryl Crow have to appear at EVERYTHING? Seriously, her mug is always performing at benefits, tributes, sporting events... The Goo-Goo's are venturing into that territory, too.
Did anyone catch the promotion after the second period where the guy tried to score a goal for $100,000? It was funny as hell to see my boy Khabibulin ruin that man's dream. He didn't deserve it anyway. I mean Nik didn't even have to move on the second shot when they put in a soccer goal.
