Roy Halladay? Granted he'd be a better shot if the Phillies had beaten the Giants (and if they won the World Series, he'd be a shoo-in), but he was the best pitcher in baseball this year and had a perfect game and a post-season no hitter to boot.
David Villa and/or Iker Casillas could be candidates for Spain's World Cup victory.
From Big Bad's list I think Brees, Nadal, and Galarraga/Joyce are the most logical possibilities.

I don't follow any sports except MMA, so my only question is why GSP would be in contention for such an award? He hasn't done much of note in 2010 other than beat a guy everybody assumed he would beat anyway. On the other hand, Frank Edgar would be a clear candidate for this.

There's no way LeBron wins a 'sportmanship' award. This isn't like Time Magazine's Person Of The Year, which goes to a person who made an impact good or bad. SI's honour is specifically about sportsmanship.
This post will look pretty funny in hindsight if, like, Kobe wins it.
