On my way home, I had the pleasure of driving by some guy who had decided to spin around and face the wrong way. Hey look, he's still there!

Someone told me that if ANY amount of time passes between snows, Minnesotans IMMEDIATELY forget how to drive in the snow - and someone has to wipe out before they re-learn it. Then that'll last until the NEXT sunny day. I have yet to disprove this theory.

EDIT: Now that I look closer at the picture taken just before I left, it looked like he might have crashed even earlier than I'd thought. Silly me, I just figured everyone was driving slowly because there was BLINDING SNOW all over the place - no, it was because this guy was shining his headlights in all the oncoming traffic. Go figure! :)

Same thing with Seattlites and the rain. It's been sunny here for two weeks, too.

Unfortunately, Southern Californians have yet to learn how to drive in the rain. Even if it looks like it MIGHT rain (the sky turns grey), everyone slows down.

Same thing happened to me today on the downward slope of a bridge that was only about 100-150 feet above water. Some woman in front and to the side of me decided instead of staying in the snowtracks like everyone else, she would make her own path. 145 degree turn right in front of me, and I had to skid into the guardrail of the bridge. How the car only had a useless plastic item on the front pop out and no scratches was incredible.

Hey, that's the correct behavior. What do you want them to do, speed up and drive on the shoulder to pass?

S. Californians need to learn to drive before they can forget it. I've lived in San Diego for 13 years now, and I still don't understand why people think that as long as the merge lane is 1 ft wider than the regular lane, they just need to keep the left part of the left tire in that one foot and it is legal to drive (off of the road occaisonally) on the right and pass in a merge situation.

(EDIT: To clarify, I mean that after the white lines have stopped and both lanes are merged together, about 1/4 mile past where you were supposed to get over, people think that if there is any amount of possibility that you can form a triangle shape with the spot that you are currently at and the former two lanes, that as long as a portion of your tire is somewhere in this invisible triangle, that you can drive to the right of stopped cars and merge angrilly and aggressively whenever you finally get to it)

There's only one concept I'd wish So Cal drivers would learn: Left lane fast, right lane slow.

Everything else is icing on the cake.

This reminds me of the snow we got yesterday, here, because it ended up snowing nearly three inches in an hour.

The darn weather man said no snow yesterday. Yeah, I know they can get it wrong, so from the pictures that you have posted I personally blame you, CRZ, for sending the bad weather this way from out there. Ok, mabe not. Anyways, it was a wierd weather day yesterday.
