I know it means little, but if nothing else, this has to be great for the team's confidence to be able to start out as winners rather than massive losers. Mike Maroth was probably the happiest guy in the world yesterday to actually get a win when he he was starting. I-Rod rulz.
.500 here we come!
"I am the past, present and future of professional wrestling, and all of you player hating sons of bitches wanna be me, and all your girls wanna see me, and when your kids meet me, I greet thee with a smile, 'cause I go the extra mile" - TEDDY HART
If the Tigers finish .500 this year, they should waive the 5 year rule and induct I-Rod into the Hall of Fame next year. Now, on the other side of the coin: Is Tosca's job on the line for the Blue Jays this weekend in Boston? I don't think J.P., with the high 80's win expectations, will be very patient if they start 1-5 or 0-6.
I want you to know, I agree with everything I just said.

Oh great. Thanks a lot. Here the Tigers were, about to go 162-0 and you had to go and jinx it. Sheesh.
Man, there are already thousands of people drunk in downtown Detroit this morning for the home opener (and I almost ran over two of them on the way to work).
Where the population of Ann Arbor doubles every home football Saturday.

Don't get too excited. They played my Blue Jays (OMEG YAH I DO OWN THEM!!!), who had 8, 6, and 5 hits respectively in the first, second, and third games.
The Jays' lousy offense is exactly what the Tigers' pitching staff needed to start the season.

That lousy offense that finished second in runs scored in the American League last year. I mean, you know, seriously, some of us should be so lucky to have such a lousy offense.
AL East: Red Sox (1) Yankees WC Rays Blue Jays Orioles Better times will be ahead for the Jays in coming years having shed the Rios and Wells deals. Yankees have rotation issues that push them to the WC. AL Central: Twins (3)
