Out of nowhere, last night Jerry Lawler mentioned something about HHH and Shawn Michaels "working together" after the Benoit contract signing thing. I thought that was a bit odd, then I noticed something that raised even more flags on a possible Shawn Michaels heel turn. Shawn has grown facial hair, and we all know that facial hair = bad guy. I absolutely hate the fact that Shawn has interjected himself into the World Title picture at WrestleMania, but what if he were to turn heel and not participate in the match?
They could say they worked together to get Benoit out of the title picture by Shawn signing the contract. That is overturned by Sheriff Austin who says the Benoit/HHH match will still happen. Shawn and HHH are upset and announce that Shawn will be in HHH's corner for the match. Benoit could retailiate by bringing in someone to counteract Shawn. That man would be Bret Hart. Bret wants another run and rumors have been more rampant than ever about Bret appearing at WMXX. What better way to make his return to the WWE than being in Benoit's corner and getting in a scuffle with Shawn Michaels?
That's pretty much what I'm wishing the end result to be. But instead of Shawn turning heel, you would only need him to turn against Benoit. If Austin kicks Shawn out of the match, then Shawn comes back and says he's protecting HHH so he could have him all to himself. To have Shawn not wrestle at Mania though, after making a full-time comeback, seems improbable.
Well HHH hopped out of the ring right away when Shawn came in. He didn't seem surprised at all. It seemed as if he knew it was coming.
"Huard, gonna go back to throw the ball. Sets up, looks, throws towards the corner of the endzone...it is INTERCEPTED INTERCEPTED, THE DUCKS HAVE THE BALL! Down to the 35, the 40. Kenny Wheaton's gonna score! Kenny Wheaton is gonna score! 20, the 10, Touchdown! Kenny Wheaton on the interception, the most incredible finish to the football game!" www.eatmyassbeavernation.com
Well This is what I Think will happen between the 3.
1. Shawn will say he'll be in HHH corner and then when WMXX comes around he'll screw HHH over and he will lose the title. Kind of like when HHH protrayed Shawn for not kissing his ass. or 2. Shawn will be wrestling in the main event, and will either screw HHH over so he loses or will help HHH win.
a heel turn is very likely for shawn, he's been a face since the NWO break up.

I think RAW has enough faces now ... Smackdown losing Cena would be a disaster.

Ummm, I know the situation usually dulls wrestler's reflexes such that they stand in the ring paralyzed with their mouth agape. However, he had plenty of time to get out of the ring while HBK's music played and he sauntered down to the ring. I'm not reading much into that situation yet.
Also, I don't think WWE can afford to move Cena after WM - he should win the US title there, I hope.
Cavaliers: 20-32. 2.5 games out of the playoffs. The East is pathetic. Indians: 0-0 Browns: 0-0
it would be preety cool if shawn michaels did turn heel hes the top babyface on raw and it be cool to be a heel again hes a better heel than a babyface
Shawn's really the only viable top face around these days and anyway, he's never gonna really be the cocky HBK/DX heel of old, the man's a family man, a christian, responsible adult now.
I'd suggest turning Benoit heel and putting him and Shawn for the title at Wrestlemania after Shawn beats HHH for the title.
Seriously, HBK is dead. He needs a rebirth, a new guise, his hearts obviously not in this HBK, sexy boy, boy toy act any more, he needs new music, new ring attire, new everything and has to drop the HBK monikor.
The good thing is that HBK was always too vanilla to be a big draw anyway, but now that he's grown up a bit you could easily sell him as a tough guy rather than a playgirl pinup.
I don't see Shawn Michaels turning heel at all. I think the allusions to him and HHH working together are just to create another storyline possibility in the minds of viewers. The fact that people are discussing it shows that it's working, even if a heel turn is the furthest thing from their minds.
It's kinda like when HHH and Cactus had the main event at No Way Out a few years ago. Every logical ending of that match was HHH winning and retiring Foley, which of course happened, but they played up "Foley main eventing WrestleMania" as a storyline so much that they had a lot of people unsure about what was to come with a fairly cut and dry storyline.
It's a good move, no question. No one likes storylines with obvious payoffs. That doesn't mean that the most likely resolution, that of a simple HHH vs. Benoit vs. Michaels match with two babyface challengers, isn't what's going to happen.

This really was one of the better episodes of Impact that they've run post Russo's return. WHAT WORKED: This was an oddly good post-Russo Mark II iMPACT. I mean all the booking was stupid but the actual work was solid.
