Bradley and the Mavericks, according to team sources, are close to finalizing a buyout arrangement. The 33-year-old has three seasons left on his contract at $14.5 million.

It's believed that Bradley, who struggled with knee and hip injuries this season, is leaving the game after 12 years for health and family reasons. He and wife Annette recently had their sixth child.

Can't really say that I'm surprised that he's hanging it up. Then again, he really wasn't that good to begin with. Although, at least it prevents things like this...

.... from happening to him ever again. :)

Well, Bradley is Mormon, so I'm not really surprised he's been bringin' the babies.

Anyhoo, while he never came close to justifying being a #2 draft pick, he was a dependable center for a little over a decade, so... hats off to him, his retirement's well-deserved.

Dan Patrick was ALL OVER HIM yesterday. First he wondered how many past & present NBA players have posters of themselves dunking on Shawn Bradley hung up in their houses. Then he wondered if maybe Bradley has a bunch of posters of him getting dunked on by the NBA greats in his house, like maybe being dunked on by all of the biggest NBA superstars over the years is like a badge of honor for him now. Funny stuff.

The Kings were in Kansas City for over 10 years before they moved to Sacramento, but I think it was just a case of the team being sold that prompted the city change.
