I'm so mad I didn't get to see this today but I definitely will this weekend as I am a huge fan of the series. Did anyone see it yet? I heard you won't believe how it ends!
Seeing the Saw movies in October has been a yearly ritual for my wife and I. We saw this one last night and I'm sorry to say that you can start waiting for the video. There was only one really gross scene and I wasn't surprised at all at the end.
Wow, I'm a bit surprised because I thought this was the best Saw since part II. The story wasn't even close to as confusing as both III and IV were, and the acting was decent. I especially liked the five people going through the rooms, because for once they weren't just stupid. Plus, any time Rita from Dexter gets work, I am happy.
The traps weren't as good, but after four movies, I wasn't expecting much. I thought the ending was fine for what it was.
"Put on your helmets, we'll be reaching speeds of 3!" "It was nice of you to give that dead woman another chance." "All right, look alive everybody...oh sorry Susan."- MST3K: Space Mutiny Click Here (myspace.com)

Don't they say you won't believe how it ends every time? I like how the previews kinda make it out to be the final movie in the series and then I see a new reality show where the winner gets a role in Saw VI.
We stopped watching these after the third one. The concept got old to us.

I don't remember them hyping the ending ever, but I only started watching the series in the movie theater from the 2nd one on. This is the first "You won't believe how it ends" hype and I must say I was a little let down, but it's about the best they could have done. Would have been better if they just didn't HYPE it, because the movie itself is quite good even without the interesting not-a-twist ending.
I liked I, II and IV; not so much III or V. Like others, I wasn't too surprised by the ending; wasn't the shocker I expected.

We figured Hoffman was setting up the other one once he put the phone down by the videos. We thought thought that Erickson would catch Strahm doing something that looked incriminating and assume he was the new Jigsaw. I did like how they once again weaved the story throughout the previous Saws. The main "room-to-room" story didn't do much for me, as it didn't seem to have much impact on the main plot; felt tacked on.
