Rose definitely deserved the award. He led a team that besides Boston, was the only team never to lose 3 or more straight games at any time during the season.
In addition, Rose was the only player this season to rank in the top 10 in scoring and assists.
If Orlando had a better record, Dwight Howard (who was second in the MVP voting) probably would have made a tighter gap but D-Rose definitely deserved it.

What an incredibly precise and specific way to name an MVP. Clearly, Allen Iverson was robbed of his 2008 MVP, when he finished top 10 in scoring and assists, and had only one three game losing streak.

It also didn't hurt that Chicago had its first 60+ win season since the '97-98 season that was led by 2 Hall of Famers simply known as Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan.

Well when you put it that way...
Seriously, there are arguments that can be made for why Rose is the MVP, and then there are arguments that you make after you've already determined that Rose is the MVP. (Guess which arguments you were making.)

Those were just some stats that proved why he is the MVP. Ever since the FIBA championship, Rose (along with Westbrook, Durant and few others) improved their gameplay considerably which have helped their respective teams.
Rose, I think, had to carry more of his team with the on and off again injured Boozer. I understand I bring stats up quite a bit and if stats were to determine an MVP, then Oscar Roberston would have had the most MVP's in history.
Rose deserved the MVP not just because of averaging more than 25 ppg and 7+ apg, but because of how well he performed and carried a Bulls team that in my opinion payed a little too much for a guy who gets injured on and off. When it comes down to it, the intangibles get the MVP which Rose brought this season. And without Rose, the Bulls definitely would have not nabbed the top seed in the NBA.
I really wanted to start another Knicks thread, but it might be redundant at this point. D'Antoni has come to New York! To bad only about 3 or 4 of the current players fit his style of play.
