What Worked

TG: I liked Lawler complaining about Coach’s Yankees Jersey. “He’s only wearing that cause he’s in Boston. Thats just lazy cheap heat.”.

PAS: I liked Shawn Micheals v. Randy Orton some. Combined this with the Goldberg and Mark Henry matches Shawn is on the greatest match quality run of his career. Of course Henry, Goldberg and to a lesser extent Orton can carry you. Orton had some nice punches for a member of the Oiled Valley Wrestling crew. I was worried when the chair came out, cause when Micheals gets hit in the back with a chair is when he stops selling

TKG: Dudleys vs. Mark Henry/Steiner was real fun. Fuck it was the best Dudleys match I’ve seen since started this thing ( and that includes the Dudleys vs. Murrap Happer/Pat Cusik match). This was good. Let this be an endless feud as it looked like they have more of these matches in them.

PAS: Goddamn was that Dudleys tag inexplicably good. Really nice version of Fire and Ice v. Steiners. The Scott v. D-Von sections looked really good, which isn’t sections you would expect to look good. I really love the activator flying off Henry’s hair, they should steal the Smackdown angle and have him blind Stacy with Soul Glow to lead to the break up of the tag team. I wouldn’t mind seeing this match every week.

PAS: I like Euro trash Randy Orton trying to make the security guard flinch. That is exactly what a guy wearing that shirt would be doing in that situation.

TKG: I dug the mic work between Bischoff and Lita. Bischoff came off sleazy and Lita came off like a haggard ex-punk dealing with her sleazy Food Lion boss who’s always hitting on her while making her cover her tatoos when she restocks the shelves.

PAS: Goldberg looked good in his sections of the main, that quick somersault thing looked great, and he sells better then anyone else on this show. Not much of a match though

TKG: yeah that roll out of the corner spot was cool. For a Goldberg opponent Batista is better than Steve McMichael but not as good as Hugh Morrus.

What Didn’t Work

PAS; What the fuck is going on with Helmsleys’ forehead? It looks like a Shar Pei dog. Is he getting Botox sucked out of his forehead?

TKG: Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton wasn’t much. Not sure if as good as Rikishi vs. Chuck Palumbo. I did like Orton’s scraping eye with boot strings spot...and am a big fan of the running away from move sell (it’s same way Foley sold Michaels superkick at MindGames). Still nothing match.

PAS: RVD v. Christian was just awful. RVD was at his loosest and laziest as Christian bumps around for the lamest weakest looking stuff in wrestling. I am really not looking forward to RVD getting out of his WWE contract and having amazingly crappy ROH “dream matches” with Chris Daniels and A.J. Styles. I also really enjoyed Lawler and Ross desperately trying to put over the dead on arrival Creepy Little Bastard catchphrase. It really felt like Don West remember 6 month old useless Russo TNA angles “Last time we saw David Young, he was getting distracted by that glory hound Bobcat..”

TKG: Damn Christian tried hard. Damn he tried. RVD is ex-ECW-doesn’t mean trying hard makes it good. What was up with them not micing the crowd for this match?

TKG: Lawler sounded completely unconvincing selling that Molly shouldn’t hurt Alexandra York’s “pretty face”. It’s Lawler, once she starts growing pubes he looses interest. They want to sell Marlena as being sexy they need to put Scott “no tail too stale” Hall on commentary.

PAS: Worst Shane Helms match I have ever seen. I would have rather seen T.C. Brimstone come out and cut a promo restarting New Dimension Wrestling.

PAS: Man that sitdown Dinner felt like it was scripted by post “Long Kiss Goodnight” Shane Black. I think even if that was performed by Michael Ironsides and Billy Baldwin it wouldn’t have been any better.

TKG: From July 24th “Figure Four””I have to admit they are succeeding in making Kane a monster. It will be interesting to see what the follow-up is and who steps up to defend the honor of JR and Linda at Summerslam. CHA-CHING~!”...That cash register is coming up empty. They should have gotten Wally Shawn to defend JR and Linda’s honor. He’s probably a better wrestler than Shane, more likely than not a better draw, and he sure as hell can do better dinner conversations.

PAS: Jericho v. Booker T was perfectly fine, but these guys have wrestled each other some many times before it really felt like two guys busting out their touring indy match. Like they would be matched up in the first round of the Cleveland Championship wrestling Super Science Invitational, work this match and get a standing ovation. Doesn’t make it any good though.

I liked the added touch with the numbers "1918" on the back of the jersey. Seeing that gave me a chuckle.

What didn't work for me personally:

Some chick saying that Lance Storm has a big penis, and Val Venis, unable to contain his excitement, cackling with delight and saying OH YEAH!

That is the single gayest thing I've ever seen.
