This is one of the biggest stories in the wrestling business in years, so I thought maybe it deserved a thread? RAW and the USA Network have been practically synonymous for so long, but it wouldn't be such a big thing if it were moving to a comparable cable outlet. However, to my surprise, the number of people with Netflix subscriptions is pretty much even with the number who have cable TV, although I assume there are other outlets which carry USA. So perhaps this isn't as much of a problem as it feels to me. I don't have Netflix, but then I haven't watched more than a few random moments of RAW in years.
The deal, by the way, is worldwide, and in fact Netflix subscribers in many parts of the world will get Smackdown and PPVs as well.
Its weird watching WWE basically shuffle around the concept of the WWE Network without actually running it itself. I'm surprised Peacock let Raw get away cuz that's kinda weird all the other WWE stuff is still there.
Still going to be weird to not be able to flip over and check out what's going on on Raw on a given Monday night.

It's going to be very odd when RAW is on Netflix and Michael Cole is telling you to watch the PPVs on Peacock.
Some of the other scuttlebutt - RAW might not even stay on Mondays? Or be exactly three hours? And their deal with USA expires approximately two months before the Netflix deal begins, so where does RAW air in the interim?
Regardless, at this time next year, you'll have RAW on Netflix, Smackdown! on USA and NXT on The CW. And PPVs (ugh "PLE"s) on Peacock. In the U.S. at least.
Not to sound like an old man, but I much prefer the old way (TV on TV, PPVs etc). Being a fan now at the level most of us were back in the 90s or 00s can be quite expensive. NO just to be able to consume only the flagship shows plus be able to watch PPVs I have to subscribe to Netflix, Peacock, possibly some kind of live tv provider. (Im not sure if Smackdown is only viewable on USA or if it will also be on Peacock). It just feels clunky and potentially expensive. I dont know, maybe once I get used to it I'll be singing a different tune. I miss my old VCR right now....
You have a good point. I’m thinking the cost of Netflix plus peacock plus cable or whatever for USA vs the cost of 2-6 ppv per year (rarely did I pay for all twelve, many a ppv were either at a friends or a borrowed tape) of course I don’t factor in the cost of cable back then as well.

I'm talking the art of turns in general. It would probably end up as flipping list if the discussion were to even occur on this board. So I'm not even headed in the direction of starting such here.
