At the final stop before this Sunday’s Judgement Day pay-per-view, Raw is gearing up to deliver some titanic matches after two weeks of progressively wilder shows. Let’s take a look back last week: After a shocking opening that saw Goldberg laid out by a mystery assailant, tensions between WWE’s newest star and Kevin Nash rose higher when “The Man” speared Big Sexy at the end of the show...Shawn Michaels and-in a massive shocker-Chris Nowinski advanced to compete in the Elimination Chamber, after going over Test and Scott Steiner respectively...Mighty Molly returned to aid The Hurricane in his feud with Rodney Mack and Jazz...Paul Heyman continued to push Rob van Dam as an aggressive, reborn competitor-much to the chagrin of Kane...And Bubba Dudley gained a measure of revenge on Chief Morley by sending him crashing off of the stage with a Bubba Bomb.

WWE RAW-12/05/03

-The opening montage of previous shows’ clips is accompanied by not one, but TWO blockbuster announcements: After the events at the conclusion of last week’s main event, Goldberg and Kevin Nash will settle things in a one-on-one clash at Judgement Day. But before that, by the order of GM Eric Bischoff, they’ll be forced to team up, and go against Triple H and Ric Flair.

-After last week’s surprising opening, things seem a little smoother as we open proceedings with a good ol’ one-on-one match. In this case, it’s the two Elimination Chamber competitors Booker T and Chris Nowinski, and as many would suspect the five-time former WCW Champion gets the pin. The match is not a simple squash, however, as Nowinski more than holds his own and only succumbs after failing to capitalise on a delayed vertical suplex. Booker pops up and finishes things with the Book-End at close to eight minutes, and Coach and King speculate wildly on his chances this Sunday...

-And after a quick ad break the pace slows considerably, as World Heavyweight Champion Triple H joins the fans for a spot of chit-chat. After throwing out a few warnings towards both Kevin Nash and Goldberg, he move son to the matter at hand: Namely, this Sunday’s massive Elimination Chamber match. See, by kicking Kevin Nash’s ass last week, he impressed Mr. Bischoff even more, and so with that one free spot left in the Chamber, Bisch has made a landmark ruling. Taking the sixth place this Sunday will be none other than....Triple H. He’s not going to let his fate be decided by those who despise him: If he wins this Sunday, then he’s free of championship defences come Bad Blood in June. And seeing as he’s the Heavyweight Champion of the world, he really can’t see there being any other outcome. So Chris Nowinski, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, Booker T, and whichever nimrod qualifies tonight better beware: Nobody’s grabbing any golden opportunity this Sunday except The Game....

-We head backstage for some more non-wrestling shenanigans, witnessing Lance Storm aiding a hobbling Chief Morley as he enters the arena. The two have barely crossed the threshold when their arch enemies, the Dudleyz, appear to greet them with cold stares and clenched fists. Storm warns them off attacking an injured man, but Bubba assures them they’re simply there to make a proposition: Tonight, out in the ring, all these problems should come to an end. What he and D-Von have in mind is simple: A straightforward tag team match between the Dudleyz and the Administration. If the Boyz win, they get a tag team title tables match this Sunday against RVD and Kane, seeing as Morley cost them their chance at Backlash. And if they lose? They’ll walk out of Raw and never come back. The clearly-pained Morley thinks about it for half a second-and agrees. It’ll all come to an end tonight....

-And with one piece of tag team business taken care of, another gets dealt with in the ring, as Al Snow and Tommy Dreamer make their Inaugural Raw appearance with a big win over 3-Minute Warning. Seeing off interference from Rico proves to be easy, and the Coach-titled “Hardcore Warriors” finish Rosey in four minutes with a big-time double brainbuster.....

-Sprawling over two segments and eating up fifteen minutes of ring-time, the Dudleys get their definitive revenge on Morley and Storm with a hard-earned victory. The heels stay in command with their usual barrelful of cheating, and Storm takes charge as the injured Morley watches from their corner. The tide turns, however, when Bubba manages to aid D-Von in getting a tag, and all Hell breaks loose as all four men get into it. The Dudz seem to hold the upper hand and Storm seems ready for a 3D, but Morley wrecks things by simply decking the ref. Bubba shifts his attention to the Chief as Storm clotheslines D-Von to the floor, and the heels soon regain the advantage as Morley puts down his foe with a low blow. Storm covers and Morley pulls out an ultra-fast count, but Bubba amazingly kicks out! Infuriated, Morley sends Storm out for a trusty steel chair-but the divided bad guys soon regret the move, as Bubba and D-Von pull out a quick 3D on Morley! Storm runs to the ring to help his comrade but it’s all for nought; at a two-on-one disadvantage, he soon falls, and in an absolutely brutal manoeuvre Bubba powebombs him off the top rope and onto his prone partner! One double cover and a groggy, shirtless three-count later, and the Dudleyz are going to Judgement Day. But the battle isn’t over: As the half-brothers celebrate their timely victory, they are joined by one half on their PPV opponents. Arms and legs flailing, RVD takes down both surprised competitors, with Paul Heyman directing traffic and an apprehensive Kane watching on from the top of the ramp...

-After that ultra-hot segment we move into a quieter match, as Jazz successfully defends her Women’s Championship against Jackie. Post-match sees Theodore Long bemoan this “forced black-on-black hating”, before he passes the mic to his female protege. The Champion gets straight to the point: She wants Mighty Molly, and she wants her this Sunday on Heat...

-Intrepid reporter Terri Runnels manages to grab Kevin nash for a few words before his big match tonight: After all that’s happened between he and Goldberg, can they really make a successful team tonight? Nash chuckles at the question: he has no problem with teaming with Billy-boy, because his conscience is clear. he DIDN’T attack Goldberg last week. But he’s attacked him before. As a matter of fact, he’s beaten him before, and that’s something that few people can say. He warns Goldberg to bear that in mind this Sunday: Can he take the pressure?

-In the penultimate match of the night, Christian becomes the second surprise qualifier for the Elimination Chamber by getting a big win over Kane. The match is not without controversy, however: Christian cheats like a mofo to stay alive throughout the match, and the end is one schmozz too many. With van Dam and Heyman joining their partner at ringside, the Dudleyz decide to exact some revenge for their earlier beating. Sadly, they’re less discriminate than they should be, laying into both van Dam and the innocent Kane as the referee deals with an argument between Heyman and Christian. With the big man laid out after a back-drop-neckbreaker combo the Dudz high-tail it to the back, leaving Christian to score the one-two-three...

-And in an absolute war of a main event, the tag team battle between Goldberg and Nash and H and Flair...goes to a no-contest. It’s hardly surprising with the mounting tensions amongst the competitors, and with the remaining five Elimination Chamber participants arriving for the ride things soon break down. Jericho is first to break the deadlock, going not for H but Kevin Nash, smacking him down from behind. After that it’s open season, as the ref swiftly rings the bell and all-out anarchy breaks loose. With an exhausted Flair down on the outside H is open season for a Shawn Michaels superkick, but he is shockingly felled by a massive clothesline from Chris Nowinski! Jericho bulldogs him down in turn and goes for a Lionsault, but Nowinski moves and Booker springs into the ring for his second Book-End of the night. He celebrates with a Spinarooni, but Christian takes advantage of his elation, sneaking in and hitting a vicious Unprettier. The move is not as smart as it would appear to be, however, as the only man left standing is The Man himself, Goldberg. Levelling the Canadian with a Spear he snarls menacingly-and the recovered Kevin Nash clubs him from behind, drawing boos for his actions. With the monster babyface staggered Nash kicks him low and spikes him with a Jackknife! “Big Sexy” is the one man left standing as the show goes off the air, and Coach and King wonder what this means going into this Sunday...

So, with six days left to go, the Judgement Day card is shaping up nicely:

Elimination Chamber Match For No.1 Contendership
Booker T Vs. Chris Jericho Vs. Chris Nowinski Vs. Shawn Michaels Vs. Triple H Vs. Christian

Triple Threat match For WWE Championship
Brock Lesnar (c) Vs. The Big Show Vs. Rey Mysterio

Eight-Man Elimination Tag Team Match

Join us on Thursday, for the final stop on the road to Judgement Day...
