Ok, I half feel like Vince legit wants to kill his son. 46-year-old, hasn't-wrestled-in-7-years, wife-and-3-kids, Shane-O-Mac comes back. OK. Ratings are a pain. A-listers are out. Let's pull out a wild card. I get it.

But the "OK, here's a montage of Shane's crazy ass bumps?" There is no reason to do that other than "Tune into Wrestlemania to watch the grey-haired-boy-wonder take an absolutely batshit-insane Mick Foley-esque bump!!!" Is that really the best idea? It's not like Shane needs the money - or the glory.

Still - I got so nostalgic for Attitude-era watching that montage. Remember when a very-part-time midcarder with a gimmick of being the third-most important McMahon was about 10x better on the mic than the last three WWE Champions we have now? And threw in a crazy bump & 3 1/2 star match every once in a while to boot?

In other news, Sasha Banks continues to be the best thing since IC-era Rock. That backstabber-to-Bank-Statement was a thing of beauty.

How brutal is The Ryback on the mic? It's like I could see him looking at the Teleprompter in his head. Let Kalisto gab it up more, he can actually talk! Who knew?

New Day (of course) continues to be the best thing on RAW (great ending, especially the transition from Codebreaker-to-Big-Ending, BTW), but they need to start thinking about moving this story on already. Kofi & Woods vs. Big E?

New Day vs Y2AJ was tremendous fun. New Day was forced to find their edge to get the win. Jericho does the oldschool heel turn generating authentic boos as he turns on AJ, who by the way is so phenomenal I wonder how they are going to screw him up as I watch him fly around the ring and bump like a freak. I'm looking forward to their grudge match and hope Jericho can keep up this time.

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens find each other again!

Helmsley sold Dirty deeds like he had been shot. Bray flirts with the belt. Anyone but you Roman.

The ending of RAW was CAPSLOCK DOPE. Wyatt/HHH staredown along with Wyatt looking at the belt. HHH selling Dirty Deeds by greeting the mat with his face.

Although they'll probably keep the statusquo, I'm still more excited about Roadblock than I am about Wrestlemania due to the sheer amount of different places where things can go. My personal favorite is still a Fatal 4-Way, although now I'm curious what Wyatt will be doing.

Oh and hey, Zayn vs owens!

First Kenny Omega now Chris Jericho so far 2016 hasn't been the year of loyal tag partners for AJ. The New Day vs Jericho and Stles was hella fun with AJ bumping like a pinball and also flying all over the place. Hell of a job by Cole saying Kofi kicked when he was actually pulled out of the ring, way to pay attention dude. Not crazy about a fourth match between Jericho and Styles but it is better than a tag match for Styles and you know he and Jericho will be given 15-18 minutes to have a good match while if AJ was wrestling Owens instead their match might have been cut down like numerous mid card matches at Wrestkemania have been over the years. Jericho as a heel again should be lots of fun as well.

The closing segment was one of the better ones in the last few months definitely and like others have said Ambrose and HHH is far more interesting than HHH vs Reigns is.

After the Rumble, I was positive they were going to do Zayn/Owens at Wrestlemania, but they kept me waiting long enough that I was starting to get nervous. I thought they might just do it in Chicago last night, and what do you know? Between that, the women's threeway, and Ambrose/Lesnar, WM might just be pretty good this year.

Well, I won't be watching Wrestlemania because I can't get the Network. We don't subscribe to cable TV, and here in Canada, you can't get the Network without a cable subscription.

...and I'm aware that there's way to do that via private VPN but I couldn't be bothered to set that up.

Roadblock may prove to be fun. I'll probably be there with my son.

Y2AJ, rest in peace.

I'm someone who has never watched NJPW or TNA. I'm very WWE-centric in my wrestling viewing and that's a shitty thing for a "smart" person to say. It boils down to a matter of convenience and time, not lack of interest in any other product. That being said, my exposure to AJ Styles is criminally small. I understood that he's a big deal, and people whose opinions I respect think he's a big deal, and now I see why. His first few matches were nice enough but not anything special (for me). Last night changed that. I popped for about 5 different things that he did in that tag match and now I'm all in on him. He truly is phenomenal to watch in the ring and, like BDL, I'm morbidly curious to see how WWE fucks this up. I also hope that Jericho can keep up this time, but my expectations of him are very tempered. Great match that would've not been out of place on any major PPV you can imagine.

Why is Lana back to her Ziggler-esque post-Wall-falling Soviet stereotype way of dressing?

HHH buried his whole face about 6 inches through the mat on that sell. Well done.

When Banks sets up that sequence with the Backstabber and says, "bye bye" it makes my insides smile. The little things matter and she gets that more than anyone else on the roster who isn't named Kevin Owens. She's my everything.

Speaking of Owens, nice touch to have the last 3 NXT champs in the ring at the same time. I would not mind a three-way fight between them, if only because it would give Neville something to do. (Lose in an even bigger match?) How dare you.

I liked Ziggler reminding Stephanie of the Survivor Series Authority stipulation when he won, and Steph responded in character very well.

They changed it so it's based off of your billing address, not region. There's a very easy method to spoof that with no VPN required, it's how I watch the Network.

I might have missed it, but have they mentioned anything about the ARMBaR yet? Kinda weird if they haven't (if it's actually occurring, that is).

I assumed it was because it was the only "ring-wear" that she owns that she can move in. Those suits are impractical.

That's all it takes? Can I use my Canadian credit card but claim I'm in the States?

I hate Rogers so I refuse to sign up for the WWE Network, or cable service this way anyhow.

I'll shoot you a PM with some details, as I'm not sure if we're allowed to post specifics. Just know that I watched the Royal Rumble at a friend's house using my WWE Network account without the use of a proxy/VPN.

Shane vs Taker is edging towards WrestleCrap territory. Amazingly enough the rest of the card could be interesting enough not to suck. Yet, the Roadblock PPV is shaping up to be the best PPV of the year. Ambrose./HHH is the main event everyone wants to see and Brock/Bray makes sense than Brock/Ambrose or Bray/Whoever. It would be nice if we just did Taker/Shane here that way Taker can eat a pin and no one will give a shit.

lol. Dean Ambrose is the guy. forget about it. these are the promos he should be doing against Triple H for the Wrestlemania main event this year. and these have also been the promos he should've been doing against Brock Lesnar for the Wrestlemania main event last year.

in a right and proper world, Ambrose goes over HHH in Toronto, Ambrose retains against Lesnar at Mania, Ambrotude Era begins.

They HAVE TO know this, right? Every piece of the Dean Ambrose story has been executed perfectly since the final minutes of the Royal Rumble. But it's not the story they want to tell. OR IS IT? I'm so utterly befuddled by everything. I mean, I'm like 99% sure they're going to stick to their guns and run with "Roman Reigns, conquering hero," but that 1% is making A LOT of noise in my brain.

It all depends who has final say on the big story, but that doesn't mean other people might not sell harder for say Dirty Deeds than maybe a Spear. Or why some people get to cut loose in their promos while others get Tater Tots. It's all about the game and how you play it.

I love what this entire thing is becoming. This is infinitely more interesting and is being told with more intricacies than anything they've been pushing as a legit storyline on tv. There might not be anything to any of this but it's so compelling to believe that there is at least something. The most "damning" evidence, IMO, is how HHH acted and dressed for the beat down of Reigns that put him out of action. You don't dress like that or bury the face's taunt (many thanks for the gif) if you're trying to get that face over. That 1% is yelling in my head too.
