You still there? You still want to know what happened on Raw or even talk about it? Really? Ok, because fearless leader CRZ seems to given up on Mania this year with just throwing up bad CGI graphics instead of the Mania Numbers we are accustom to.

Anyway, Steph emasculates Reigns without consequences, again. The idea of Owens/Sami IC match that could be this decades' Savage/Steamboat is now a clusterfuck ladder match with a bunch of guys including Zack Ryder. I like Ryder, but holy shit. Vince calls Taker his bitch and throws down the ultimatum that should have been done to get Taker to face Shane. The ultimatum is if Taker loses, he is gone. Dean continues to get gifts from Hardcore Legends. This time its Funk giving him a chainsaw. Again, its nice that Foley and Funk are doing something positive for someone on this roster, because most of the old timers expect them to job to them while not doing anything for them in a feud. Well at least, Brock will expect it. It is also nice, because Ambrose is using these weapons in his matches which sadly leads to a DQ to Braun.

The rest of the show is building to Mania which is fine. AJ/Styles and the Diva Three Way are really the most interesting matches left on this card. We get the Andre Memorial back with BFFS Kane and Big Show. That match sort of helped Cesaro who could come back for it. Other than that this is your record breaking attendance cough2for1dealcough Mania line up.

I don’t blame WWE for trying to get some face heat for Roman in Philly. On paper, that sounds ridiculous, but Reigns *did* win the title here to a great face reaction a couple months back. If only *that* crowd was more hostile, maybe something would have changed. But probably not.

Bring Sami Zayn up to the main roster, tease a one-on-one with Owens while focusing on their history, then book a seven-man ladder match. Makes sense. Kevin Owens, FWIW, was incredible last night playing his part in this stupidity. Zayn, rightly, is the only person people cared about it. If anyone gave two shits about Ziggler anymore, Owens’ trickery would have gotten a stronger reaction. And the fact that Miz was treated the same as Ziggler and Zayn, i.e., someone we should all want to see get a fair shot at the title, is ridiculous.

How is Vince going to enforce his stipulation if Shane wins?

Obviously Neville was supposed to be in that IC match so either Ryder or Sin Cara took his place...I'd much rather see Tyler Breeze in there. Ryder's been 1/2 of an NXT tag team for months and Sin Cara in a ladder match seems like an injury waiting to happen.

As awesome as it would be to see Zayn/KO on the Grandest Stage of Them All, they probably need more time to tell that story on RAW/SD! to make it matter to the tens of thousands in Dallas...we'll get it one day (right?).

AJ Styles falls for the Jericho distraction on consecutive shows.

I was glad Roman caught the Steph slap. I'm sure someone else has done that before, but it's nice to see a face recognize when she's setting up her finisher.

Kinda expect Funk and Foley to come out to the street fight match to die in Brock's stead. Funk will gladly take that F5.

Enjoyed Owens-Styles and Charlotte-Natalya.

HEY, Terry Funk.

If the League Of Nations had any less heat, it'd solve global warming.

Mixed messages; commentators kept saying that New Day's insults had thrown the League off their game, yet they were standing at ringside literally laughing them off. To be fair, that mic work was pretty pedestrian by New Day standards...I fear the writing team has gotten to them.

At least Jericho bothered to play into the narrative by yelling about how Fandango never beat him at Mania.

This year's WrestleMania banner set has been pretty much the same as last year's. Blame WWE for their innovative graphics packages, not me. At least with the WWE Network™ it's a lot easier to grab screens.

The Lads are such pals, aren't they? I kinda miss how they don't all spin their fingers in the air at the same time any more - was that getting over or something so they were told to cool it?

I'm a big fan of randomly including forgotten folks in big matches, so the 7-man ladder match works for me...I just fear they'll do one of those "Owens takes 'em out one by one" deals over the next fortnight and suddenly Ryder, Stardust and Sin Cara aren't in the match any more by the time Mania rolls around.

Has anybody figured out when all seven hours of WrestleMania are? We may need to adjust our countdown (above). Also there's a matinee Wolves game at 2:30 and I'd hate to miss anything because I seem to enjoy the NBA more than WWE at this point.

Nothing feels more genuine and natural than big ol' smilin' Big Show slappin' hands with the fans, man. He and Kane are the obvious odds-on betting options for the Andre thing that somebody just remembered existed (ALTHOUGH, with Cesaro's name on the trophy...could he return in time to be the surprise first two-time winner and then OH MAN engage in a lengthy feud with Big Show$$$$$$?$?????)

I think I'm a little sleep deprived. Maybe I shouldn't have stayed up to clear this show from the DVR.

FWIW, Meltzer says Ryder is the replacement for Neville.

The long form schedule is here, but the highlights

NXT Takeover is Friday, 10pm ET

WWE HOF is Saturday, 7pm ET.

WrestleMania kickoff show runs 5-7pm ET.
The 6-7pm hour (including the Andre Battle Royal) will simulcast on the USA Network (and the whole show airs on YouTube and rest.)

WrestleMania starts at 7pm ET. There was a report a few days ago that WWE was informing cable companies that they may go 5-20 minutes past the normal end of the show.

Thank Goodness that mega face Stephanie put Kevin Owens in his place for trying to be a weasel.

Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"

Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"

Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"

Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much."

After a Raw that started quite well with only a short opening segment, presumably so Reigns could look good and not get booed which failed despite him trying to be cool and getting the upper hand on Steph. Owens is great at the moment and is always worth watching - his match with AJ was great until the overdone outside annoyingness. Owens setting up the triple threat was amusing and he was great on the mike but then creating the ladder match with Steph later was terrible.

New Day didn't do it for me this week, but the match was watchable. The LON could be so much better, but it doesn't work. A year ago if you had a group of Del Rio, Rusev, Wade and Sheamus would have got your attention but at the moment they might as well face the Social Outcasts in a 4 on 4 match. Bubba seemed to enjoy himself talking through his match, but the WM match building up to a Dudley going through a table isn't interesting. The multi man match could have been with them and some other teams could have worked with the ladders, but there is a ladder match! Did they forget Kalisto is facing Ryback? I know it's not interesting but they could at least have them there.

While not well done, I kind of like Ryder, Stardust, and Ziggler finding their way into the I-C title match. It kind of feels like a "thanks for putting up with our shit for years" reward. This, of course, assuming they don't screw them out of the match next week or something.

I was mostly bored with everything else. I'm sure the actual WM show will be entertaining enough, but the shows before just seem brutal.

My God, they are going to try and wear the crowd out with a marathon of wrestling before getting to Roman Reigns.

I blame myself for not turning off Raw after Owens vs AJ

Now that New Day have turned face after being overexposed is it time for them to go heel?

Luke Harper got hurt after the show :(

The Undertaker's post-Streak career is so unimpressive thus far that I really hope he loses and saves us from his epic match against Braun Strowman next year.

Still, given that it's the "hotter" of the two main events and the fact that the outcome could ruin HHH/Reigns, you almost have to put Shane/Taker last. If Shane wins and retires Taker, that would be the emotional high point of the night and put HHH out of... uh, Raw, lowering the stakes for the World Title match.

At least Shinsuke Nakamura is coming to NXT and I have New Japan World.

I hate to say it but I don't think I've ever been less excited for the actual card of Wrestlemania!

However, I'd hate to just fill up a post with negativity though, so here are the parts I am looking forward to with it:

a) Getting to hang out with lots of friends at the annual Wrestlemania party, this year finally at my house! This involves smarky drinking games with 'chance' cards such as:

"OH NO! Vince Russo has booked your next drink. Mix together X, Y and Z ingredients and finish it before the next match!"

If any of you happen to be passing through England, you're more than welcome to join!

b) Buying the TV I've saved up over the last few months for just for this occasion!(We only have had laptops in our house up until now.)

What are the chances of this being one of those cards that we think is going to be a let down but at the end of the day being pleased we watched it? Or is that just because we thought it was going to be poor but was just alright so beter than we thought?

Double same.

I know they have to move on eventually, but lack of Cena* is really hurting the big time feel.

*Orton,Rollins,Cesaro,Sting,Bryan...and on and on and on. We're not even getting the Ronda Rousey/Rock stuff that was so beautifully set up last year. Holding out for Austin or HBK appearances.

True, but if working with a bunch of rookies to start with, exposing their lack of experience isn't too great an idea either...
