For the first time in a LOTTA weeks, I sat down and watched a live RAW start to finish (with the exception of the half hour I napped and had to do a little DVR catchin' up). All I have to say is...
...there was already a cameraman in Rusev and Lana's hotel room.
I'm still waiting for them to give me a reason to not think Rusev is the good guy.
Much like with some of the TLC matches, I hope the Iron Woman match is the last in the Sasha-Charlotte series for a while. Love Sasha, enjoy their matches, but can we get any other matchups instead? Charlotte-Bayley? Sasha-Jax? Anything?
There's just something about RAW which feels "off". I dunno if it's the three hours or whatever, but SmackdownLive just *feels* better, like it's easier to sit through.

If Sami Zayn can't beat Owens after the latter ate a chokeslam and a Pedigree, he's useless. That was when you give him the win and make Owens seek him out to prove it was a tainted victory. A giant missed opportunity to give Zayn traction against Foley, make Owens look vulnerable before the Reigns match, and enrich the Owens/Zayn relationship.
It was right there.

Think my inner monologue is slowly turning into Jim Cornette because my immediate reaction was "Well that's what happens when you have a bunch of failed comedy writers writing a wrestling show."
The whole trying to make sure everyone remembers to hate Rusev is failing badly. Just turn him face and he will do well, and Lana will become loved. Or more loved!
Zayn and Owens weren't going to fight again, just like Miz and Ziggler never will. Enjoyable match.
How long are they going to tease Seth and Hunter? All the way to Mania before a match?
Seth/HHH has 30 minute too long Mania match written all over it. I am sure they will find a way to cut into the Smackdown main event of AJ/Joe or AJ/Taker or AJ/Potted Plant or AJ/Me, you know a match people want to see.
Originally posted by thecubsfanSmackDown main event will be AJ/Cena so they'll get all the time they need.
I have a sinking feeling that the SD main event will be Cena/Taker, and it will also fall in the 30-minutes-too-long category that lotjx is talking about.

What if Rusev is the anti-Cena, a heel who constantly acts like a face and is loved despite the company wanting us to hate him?
If built up properly, they could do an amazing double turn. Cena constantly acts like a dick toward Rusev. Rusev just keeps pointing out that Cena is a dick and he (Rusev) has done nothing to deserve it. It builds up to a PPV match where Rusev goes over completely clean and Cena snaps and beats the shit out of him afterward.
Normally, this is the point where I would interject "But that would make sense, so WWE would never do it." except it seems to me like this might be a way to turn Cena without simply flipping his current mixed crowd reactions. As such, it could effectively turn Cena in a manner that might actually disappoint the people that have been clamoring for them to turn Cena. On the basis of that logic, I could possibly see it happening. (It won't.)
I like the six sided ring and I've heard that its actually one of the best bumps you can take. As for the format changes, I've heard a lot of talk that they are going to be moving to FX or at least changing to two hours to help promote the shows.
