There hasn't been much for Raptors fans to jump for joy about, but this should hopefully start the LONG road to recovery. If interim GM Wayne Embry can pull off some deadline trades, Toronto might actually have a good future ahead of them.
Actually Charlie V is turning out to not be such a big mistake...
3rd in the league in rookie scoring. 4th in rookie rebounds
Now, of course, Channing Frye is 2nd in both, so perhaps he would've been a better pick, but in the end Charlie V is working out pretty good.
In all honesty, Babcock's goose was killed with the Vince trade last year. The Raptors ended up with "nothing" out of that deal really.
I really thought he would get the rest of the year. He did pull off the Mike James deal, which has been the best thing for the Raptors this year.
That said, the team is trying to show some people that they are serious about rebuilding to somethings, specifically Chris Bosh, who they really need to re-sign. If they don't the fans here will really give up...
They have a very good young nucleus in place now with Bosh, Charlie V, Graham and James, they just need to make sure they keep the group together for a few years...
That will be the new GMs job.

In the first two rounds (and maybe the next round), there's a "host school" for each subregion.
But, doesn't it seem weird that since these are "neutral site games," they're playing on a court with another team's logo.
