The Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors are reportedly close to a trade that would send swingman Jalen Rose to Toronto. In exchange, Chicago would acquire forward Jerome Williams, guard Alvin Williams and guard/forward Morris Peterson.
WGN radio in Chicago is reporting that the deal could also include forward Donyell Marshall going to the Raptors with Toronto center Antonio Davis going to the Bulls.
By the way, Storm's gimmick includes 1.) telling the audience to shut up, and 2.) occasionally making everyone stand for the Canadian national anthem. You know they don't know what to do with a wrestler when he's making fans stand for a national anthem. It's like waving a white flag and saying, "This guy has no personality -- we give up."
Ugh...why would the Bulls want Davis? The rest of the deal, I don't have much of a problem with, although the rotation at SG/SF would be even more muddled, if they don't deal Marshall.
If that trade goes through, Raps fans will not be happy in the least. If they trade three recognized names for Jalen Rose, people won't go for it. Rose may be the best single player in that deal, but Canadian basketball fans for the mostpart are a different animal. For example, Williams is the basketball equivalent of Tie Domi around TO...he may not be the greatest player, but for whatever reason people love him, and unless Rose singlehandedly turns this season around the fans will forever be against him. And what will that leave the Raptors with? Carter (when he shows up), Bosh, and Rose...and that's about it. Like NHS said, that won't leave them with any depth. This is a bad deal on the court and a bad deal in the papers, no way the Raps make that move.
The Toronto Raptors and Chicago Bulls finally hammered out a trade on Saturday, with the Raptors agreeing to send power forward Antonio Davis, forward Jerome Williams and little-used forward Chris Jefferies to Chicago for star forward Jalen Rose, forward Donyell Marshall and forward Lonny Baxter.
TSN has learned that while the deal has been done, it will not be finalized by the NBA until the league office re-opens on Monday. The team would not confirm the report, but have said that Davis and Williams are still a part of ongoing negotiations.
Well, it happened.

CRZ should be STOKED about Sacramento picking up the man Kentucky fans call Boogie. Don't listen to all that crap you hear about attitude, etc. He plays hard, rebounds like a demon, and scores down low. He wants to win and compete.
