I have a chance to purchase a used Apple 20" iMac G5 (2.0 ghz, 1 gb memory, 250 gb hard drive, superdrive [cd/dvd burner], keyboard, mouse) from my place of business for the low low price of $157.50 ... Should I take them up on the offer? I've always been a PC user, but I may be tempted to at least try out an Apple computer at that price.
Santino continued his tradition of coming down to the ring, being ten times funnier and more interesting than the other guy, and then getting his ass beat. He said to Rey Rey "anyone who a wears a mask eesa either incredibly ugly, incredibly stupid or...eesa the batman!" Man, if this guy could only wrestle he'd be King Korn Karn by now. Homeslice doesn't even have a finisher. -- Matt Fowler

It's a good price - you can't find them on eBay for less than $500, I reckon. I'm assuming it's got Leopard (10.5) on it? I can't remember if 10.6 is going to be Intel-only or not (EDIT: yes (tuaw.com)), so keep that potential built-in obsolecence in mind.
You WILL want to max out the RAM if you buy it, since 1G is BARELY enough to work with. That may mean buying two 1G DIMMS if your 1G is configured as 2x512M DIMMs, which would run you....looks like probably $80.
The worst thing that might happen is it might get you hooked on Macs and looking for something newer and faster. This can become a dangerous and expensive habit! :)

As CRZ alluded to, I think you'd be crazy NOT to take it, even if it's only for the resale value. Assuming it's in good condition, you could probably make a couple hundred bucks off it at least.
But I, as an avid Apple fanboy, would snatch up that computer in a heartbeat at that price to use at home, not to sell. It sounds like a fantastic deal, and if you're ever interested in becoming more familiar with Apple's setup, you're never going to come even remotely close to that price for such a nice computer. It's not top of the line, but it's a good computer. You're getting a steal at that price.
On this board, you can just post the link and we'll autolinkify it: http://profile.myspace.com/meatpimps You can also use [link] and [/link] I think MySpace uses actual HTML though, which Joseph Ryder covered up there.
