How is this different from the current Facebook integration? I've had my feed updating with trophy wins for the last couple months now. You could also set it to update when you buy DLC, but I didn't opt-in for that.
Facebook Integration: Developers will be able to create PS3 games that have deep interaction with Facebook. Once compatible PS3 titles are available, PS3 users can choose to access their information on Facebook – including user name, profile, photos and friends list – to enhance their gameplay experience.
I guess games will include more notifications, but the bigger idea is to be able to interact with the game/PS3 while on Facebook.

Oh wow, you were right, this will lead to more things cluttering up my news feeds.

He hasn't lent his voice for play-by-play commentary for a few years now and they didn't change the name then. Like you said, the Madden name is very successful brand and there is no reason to change it in the near future.
