just wondering who to put as running back for my fantasy squad this week.
chiefs are home to carolina so it could be tough for holmes

however new england are at arizona which is supposedly easier but they play a passing game.

so which player will get more points? i am leaning towards dillon as this could be his breakout game
what does the forum think?

Priest scores and has scored a minimum of two td's per game forever. Plus carolina looks a little suspect on D.

First, I have a couple of questions...how many backs can you start? I'd start both if I could, but I'd still go with Holmes against Carolina. Ahman Green and the Packers did a pretty good job with the Carolina defense at Carolina(119 yds rushing, 3 TDs total), and I would think that since the Chiefs have one of the best offensive lines in football, and Priest Holmes is a top-2 back, plus the fact that they're playing at home, he should do well.

EDIT: Also...it's generally a good rule to never bench your studs. In this case...Holmes. I'd leave him in the lineup forever unless he was missing a leg or something.

FWIW, Hector & Victor at ESPN.com have Priest as their #1 player in their projections this week, with Dillon #19.

The Cardinals won't be an easy game for the Patriots this week. Remember, early last season the Packers went into the desert in hundred degree conditions and were knocked off by the Cardinals. Plus, Tillman Ceremonies Pre-Game mean if the Cardinals will ever have a home field advantage from the crowd, they will have it early Sunday. Thus, if New England keeps their winning streak going, it will probably be another Brady Drive late (17-1 career games decided by less than a touchdown).

Holmes should be a lock every week and like it was stated earlier, Ahman Green put up some nice #'s against the Panthers. Couple that with it being KC's home opener and a must win and Priest goes for 200+ combined rushing & receiving with a min. of 2 td's

Here's a really easy rule for Fantasy Football:

"Never bench Priest Holmes. Ever."

Priest Holmes is the only player who can singlehandedly drag a team to victory over the course of a season.

I agree, but I thought it might be tricker in that case since Dillon would have the benefit of going against the Chiefs D.

Until they prove otherwise, the Pats are the Tom Brady Show (not the Brady Tom Show). But hey, there's a chance they might start to rely on Dillon.

Holmes: 66 yards rushing. 16 yards receiving. 1 Rushing TD

Dillon: 157 yards rusing. -1 yard receiving. 0 TD

So Dillon won the rushing game but Holmes got TD. Not in a fantasy league this year but IIRC it's 1 point for every 20 yeard rushing or receiving and 6 points for a Touchdown... If that's the case Holmes beat out Dillon 9-7.

smark/net attack wienerville advisory holds at ORANGE alert - High (JBL is STILL WWE champion and now smarks arch enemy HHH is the World Champion. Major red threat, but the undercard seems okay. The alert holds... for now)- 9/19

In the W League I it's 1 pt for every 10 yards, so if he were in a league like that at Yahoo! it would be:

Holes: 8.2 total yards + 6 pts = 14.2
Dillon: 15.6 total yards = 15.6

Advantage (slightly) Dillon.

hi, cheers for the help guys.
in the end it worked out that holmes got 13 points

its 7pts for a td and 1pt for every 10 rushing
dillon would have got me 15 pts

not that much difference really i am more disapointed with others in my teams performance.

jets score a bagfull yet no TD for carter.
Green bay defence goes awol against chicago.

but did have money in the bank with tom brady and testiverdi though.

overall an average week. just have to play a blinder next week, cheers

I wouldn't bank on Carter doing much on a weekly basis for the Jets. Martin, Moss, Mcariens, and probably Jordan and Becht are all ahead of him in the pecking order there.

This thread illustrates the problem I have w/ my fantasy football team...with the point-production goodness of having both Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens on my squad, I'm forced to keep Brady, my other QB, benched.

Of course, there's always my Priest Holmes running attack. 1st overall picks rule.
