FIFA 14 just came out for the PS2, seven years after the launch of the PS3. It's fair to say that the PS2 has been a dead system for a while now, but there's no reason that there can't be half-assed ports still coming out for the 360 and PS3 for at least five years.
- (most) AAA titles appear on PS3/XBOX for about next two holiday seasons - (most) franchises - sports and otherwise - appear on both systems for the next four years; anything where they don't have to rewrite the engine to make it work for the new iteration can last a while - very scattered support five years and on. - a much more rapid turning off of online servers for PS3 games to push people out the door.
Given all my old Atari/Midway/Namco PS/PS2 discs for retro games, many which haven't seen the light of day on PS3, my PS2 will probably be around longer than my PS3 will.
Actually, I should probably pick up a spare PS2 while I still can...
I feel we've pretty much finished the development cycle for this generation. In other words, the games in development now are going to be the last major games in development for the PS3 and 360. I'd say we'll start seeing the last major titles around August 14.
That said, I won't be a PS4 owner until at least 2015 unless something drastic changes. I just have too much to play on PS3 and even PS2 to worry about a new system, with usually-shaky launch titles.
Sony's President of Worldwide Studios said in a podcast that their studios would be moving onto PS4 once their current projects were done but they would continue to support PS3 "as long as there's interest", somewhere in the 4-5 year area.

I hear that. I just picked up a 360, and there are too many exclusives I want to play before I get the next gen.
