Felix Potvin has signed in Boston, for a one year deal.
Are they any further ahead?? Is this better then Hackett???
"You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named 'Bush', 'Dick', and 'Colon. Need I say more?"
If he's healthy, he will be a step up from the Hackster. And if he has a very good year it will guarantee that he will not be back, because the B's don't like to pay players. If the Bruins could get black market monkeys for cheap and teach them to play, I'm sure they would then trade their players for money. They probably thought of this idea already, and if it would make the Fleet Center sellout every game regardless of wins they would do it, until the monkeys get agents. "Today the Blue Jackets signed Bubbles the chimp away from Boston, The Bruins could not offer him the amount of bananas he was requesting". I do like Felix "the Cat", I will enjoy a real goaltender for a change, now for a real owner! If Potvin "is" past his prime, he is still fun to watch.
I used to think Potvin was really good, until the Leafs got Curtis Joseph. Now THAT's a star netminder. Potvin is a very solid, 2nd-3rd round playoff goalie, but you won't win a Cup with him.
Then again, Boston never seems to want to win the Cup anyway, so it's a perfect fit.
"When this bogus term alternative rock was being thrown at every '70s retro rehash folk group, we were challenging people to new sonic ideas. If some little snotty anarchist with an Apple Mac and an attitude thinks he invented dance music and the big rock group is coming into his territory, [that's] ridiculous." - Bono, 1997

Joseph is never going to win a cup either...

Potvin had more of an emotional feeling when playing in Toronto, as opposed to all the other places he's played at. I'm sure Beantown will be no different.
Joseph, IMHO, is pretty much done.

Well, Lindros kept coming back too soon during the wild west of brain injury treatment and getting re-concussed with monster deathblows. Crosby, I believe, had a recurrence of symptoms from his original problems at the final stage of his recovery.
