The on again, off again talks between the Pittsburgh Penguins and government officials are on again.
And now it looks like there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Sources tell KDKA Investigator Andy Sheehan that the two sides are very close to a deal and if all goes well, they could have an announcement in the next few days.
Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl confirmed what sources close to the talks are saying that a deal could be imminent.
"It's my hope that sometime this week we can get back to talks with the Penguins and ultimately reach a deal," said Ravenstahl.
I hope they can stay in Pa. They are my favorite team. It would be nice to see them in a new building, and Mario building a dynasty with the young talent they have.
Indeed indeed. It's been an unsettling year with the lease coming up and they being free to move but it seems like that maximum pressure like that was the only thing that could force the local government's hand. The clouds are breaking and things are looking up. Way up.
Well there goes my go to joke with my friends who are Penguins fans: "They'll be even BETTER next year in Kansas City."
Seriously, good news. I can't imagine the team anywhere else, even though I'm a Flyers fan. The rivalry between me and my buddies (who are killing me over the Flyers crappy year) wouldn't be the same.
*keeps his fingers crossed*. Pittsburgh deserves to enjoy the good years that are ahead after all the crap they had to go through. Let's just hope the team continues to improve and can stay together.

Please allow me to state for the record that I sincerely hope your Penguins stay put despite any good natured razzing to the contrary I may have made. But is it just me or does that quote kinda not at all support what the story before it was saying?

Well, it is always worth noting that Luke Revanstahl is fourteen years old and mildly retarded.
As the NHL regular season comes to a close, so does another Fantasy hockey season. For the second year in a row, the Canadian Bacon have taken the crown!! 1. Canadian Bacon 106.5 2. Bad Motherpuckers 102 3. Snakes On An IceRink 87 4.
