Man, this is great! It's about halfway through the third, and 21-3 Pats. I love it. Even though the blocked FG wasn't really his fault, I would hate to be Kris Brown right now. Troy Brown has been everywhere.
That was some UGLY football in the 3rd quarter, but a great game nonetheless. Drew did an admirable job filling in for Tom Brady. Only question is, who's starting at the Superbowl?

I'm sure they'll go with Brady, provided he's healthy (which he sure seemed to be in postgame interviews).
Aw, come on. Bledsoe started the season off very badly, then Tom Brady came out of nowhere and revitalized the entire team. New England fans have so little to be happy about nowadays, you can forgive some instances of short memory. We're cursed, remember? Some guy on some sports thing that I can't remember put it best when he (might've) said that Tom Brady, after the Radiers game, started down the path to becoming a New England phenomenon along the lines of Carl Yaztremski and Bobby Orr. And I know a number of people who argued incessantly on Drew's behalf, after he got healthy of course. New England fans will stick behind a guy forever, as long as they don't think he betrayed them. [COUGHCLEMENSCOUGH] Belichick did what was best for the team in making Brady the starter, and I'm sure every New England fan felt a little bit better knowing that their backup was one of the best QB's of the past 10 years.
Man, that was some disjointed shit I just laid down, but you get the idea.

No. Drew didn't impress me at the start of the season, and other than his first 3 passes, he really didn't impress me tonight. Brady impresses the hell out of me, especially for such a young QB. For the time being, Brady as the starter and Bledsoe as the backup is the perfect situation. Brady hasn't cracked under the pressure yet, and I really don't think he will. Even if he does, either he or Belichick will know enough to put Drew in. From what I've seen, Bledsoe's game can be inconsistent. He definitely runs hot and cold, and today he was warm at best. Brady finds a way to win. You've gotta look at the records. This year, with Brady starting the vast majority of the games, the Pats went 11-5. Last year with Drew, 5-11. Tom brought them this far, and if he's healthy enough, it's his right to start in the Superbowl. Drew is a great QB, but I honestly think that Tom Brady is a better fit with the team right now. Everything else can get sorted out in training camp next year.

Kordell - you can't rally your team by throwing two interceptions in three plays.
As for the Super Bowl, I can see the Patriots starting Brady if at all possible - and I can also see them upping the asking price for Bledsoe after the season.

If they get rid of him, yeah. At least other teams will know he can still play. But according to Belichick, it's still gonna be a tossup at training camp next year as to who's gonna be the starter. Not if they go by the numbers though. Let's review:
Bledsoe: 5-11 last year, costs $3,000,000/yr Brady: 11-5 this year, got the team to the AFC championship, costs $250,000/yr
3 million is a LOT to pay for a backup QB.

That was the previous play that they missed the delay of game. It was not, IMO, the worst blown call of the day. Certainly SHOULD have been called a delay, though.
