Joe Girardi is done in NY. Seriously? One game from the World Series in what was supposed to be a "rebuilding" year. I just don't see the logic. With all the youth this team has, why not keep the skipper who's been there with them as they flourish? I hope Cashman knows what he is doing.
I texted my dad when I heard about it, the response was simply "Good Riddance".
Girardi has made plenty of mistakes during his tenure, and every time he's been questioned about it he insists it was the best call to make at the time. Confident, yes, but accountable? No.

Unless I can't count... Counting from June 1 forward, the padres are a .500 team (16-16). From June 15 forward, they are 12-7. What does this mean? The teams that they have been beating are not bad teams... Dodgers, Mariners, Giants.
