But there's been a massacre @ Lambeau on Friday the 13th...six assistants and two others got the Vince McMahon treatment. I'll miss Larry Beightol, the O-line coach...a real character. Plus we need an offensive coordinator now (hello, Mooch?), and who knows if Bates'll stay after getting dissed for the head coach spot.
Hope Ted knows what he's doing...

I know I said to myself several times last year when watching 49ers games that "Boy, whomever is directing this stellar offense surely deserves a head coaching job!"
This seems to smack of a move to keep Favre around for a year or two rather than a case of trying to improve the Green Bay franchise. Bringing in an old GB coach, who Favre is comfortable with, is not necessarily the best long-term move they could've made.

Really? Last season, when I thought of offensive juggernauts, the first team to come to mind was the Ravens. And lookit their offensive coordinator's career opportunities.

Boiled down, it comes down to the feeling that Thompson hired a coach who won't be trying to pull a power play. Nope, he didn't stop at all. There was an video of it shot by someone who lived on that street and it was shown on the Channel 7 news here in Boston. He just hit the guy like he wasn't even there.
