DDP: Well, there's this little passage I got memorized, Diamond Dallas 25:17. Sort of fits this occasion:
"The path of the bookerman is beset on all sides by the inequities of the talented, and the tyranny of workrate freaks. Blessed is he, who in the name of tradition and sports entertainment carries the stiffs through the matches of Nitro, for he is truly the workrate's keeper, and the finder of lost quality. And I will lay the smack down upon thee with great vengeance and furious roid rage those who attempt to outwrestle and expose my brothers. And you will know my name as the Bookerman, when I lay my catchphrase upon thee!"
Adam says I need to buy more RAM for the server. It's only got 96 megs at this point. I'm too lazy to look up how much RAM I can put in an ASUS p2b motherboard.
I'll probably ship some out to CRZ with his Xmas package - so it will be up to him to install it.
Your analogy is similar to:
"They already have cars that you can drive, why not blenders?" "I can already write with my hands, why not my pancreas?" "They already have beef that I can eat, why not granite?"
Assuming that I can get CRZ to put it in, I'm going to splurge the $65 and pick up 512 megs from Crucial (which is the best place to get RAM, period) so we may get this machine upgraded sometime around the first of the year.
Maybe we'll do it as an anniversary present to the site.

Originally posted by CRZIn that case, assuming it arrives in time, I'll probably do the maintenance on Christmas morning, since I'll be the only one on the 'Net then. ;-)
I'm sure I'll be on, listening to the Best of the Kornheiser show on ESPN radio, especially since there's no more Blue Gray game. >:

The RAM got there this morning. Did I mention that Crucial rocks?

I think our provider just moved the server - looks like we were down about 20 minutes. He was SUPPOSED to coordinate this with Aaron, but he probably got tired of him not answering his voicemails or something. :)
