Is it too early to consider this guy to be the next superstar quarterback? I mean DAMN....173 yards in rushing. I hope Green Bay can avoid Atlanta in the playoffs.
I was born in a manger, like that other guy. You know, he wore a hat?
what a beast, and they are unbeaten in their last 8 games going 7-0-1.
ya know, he reminds me of the QB in Any Given Sunday...Jamiee Foxx's character...
DDP: Well, there's this little passage I got memorized, Diamond Dallas 25:17. Sort of fits this occasion:
"The path of the bookerman is beset on all sides by the inequities of the talented, and the tyranny of workrate freaks. Blessed is he, who in the name of tradition and sports entertainment carries the stiffs through the matches of Nitro, for he is truly the workrate's keeper, and the finder of lost quality. And I will lay the smack down upon thee with great vengeance and furious roid rage those who attempt to outwrestle and expose my brothers. And you will know my name as the Bookerman, when I lay my catchphrase upon thee!"
They say he ran a 4.25 40 at VT. I heard this morning that he ran a 4.15 somewhere, which is absolutely amazing. How do you catch a guy like that? That is running about 19.3 mph. He is fun to watch.

Willie Beeman...what a HORRIBLE movie.
I have an ex that went to VT...that got me into watching them, and Vick, years ago. It's just incredible what this kid can do.
Not only can he run, but he's got an absolute cannon for an arm, too.
the DC area sportscasters consider VT a local school, even though it's like a 3 hour drive away, and ya, he was a beast in college...
doesn't he have a younger bro in college?

The only other QB's I'd consider over Vick is Favre, Garcia, and McNabb. And out of those three, Favre is probably the only one I'd pick over Vick if I had to think short-term.
LONG term, I'd chose Vick. The man's skill level is INSANE.

Yes, Vick's brother was, I believe, a freshman at VT this year.
If you ask me, Vick is just realizing his vast Madden-like potential. Man, Vick is just awesome in Madden (although he can have fumblitis at times).
You're all so WONDERFUL. Why did they ever have to remove you from the continuity? You'd have made for MARVELOUS stories. You WILL make marvelous stories. And the FIRST story of the new world will be a story of REVENGE! -- The Psycho Pirate, Animal Man 23, May 1990.
The funny part is that Vick is from my area (I live in Virginia beach Va, hes from newport news right up the road) and When Vick was in high school, NOBODY knew who he was. The big celebrity here was Ronald Curry. Curry was USA Today player of the year and a parade all american at Hampton high in hampton. Its funny how their careers took totally diffrent paths once they went to college. Curry sank fast at North Carolina, even losing his starting job his senior season, Now hes barely hanging on to an NFL roster spot, meanwhile Vick is the hottest thing in the NFL after being number one overall pick in the draft.
And how can u not love "any Given Sunday?" Pacinos pregame speech alone is worht seein it for.
When a chicken in this neighborhood gets angry, it will chase you down...
I took the Falcons to win the South at the start of the year largely cos I thought Vick was great, but my god I never new he was this good. I mean 173 rushing?! Jesus most RB's would kill for the sort of numbers this guy puts up.
As far as MVP goes I'd have Favre, Bledsoe, Ricky Williams and Peyton Manning up there with him just now. Its not impossible that only Favre and Vick are gonna take there teams to the playoffs though so it could be a two horse race

ya, that equaled Riggo's best day ever at 173, and he was one of the best rushers ever...when he was sober

Vick will be a superstar but won't be invincible. In the next few years they'll find some kryptonite but right now he's untouchable.
And Ronald Curry,I remember seeing him fumble a punt/kickoff return against the 49ers about a month ago and I think he did the same thing when the Raiders played the Titans in a preseason game.

The depressing part is, after Favre retires, we'll probably be stuck with some Anthony Dilweg wannabe.

The word on the street is Vick's little brother has possibly more potential than him. I bet teams will jump on him even if he isn't quite good just because of Vick.

damn, i might have to drive down the road and see the Hokie Birds play next year if that's true...
