as a Bronco fan, I am damn glad that they aren't playing this game next week at night.....going to fly out from NJ to San Diego for the game - my buddy fell flat on his face in getting tix for the game - can anyone tell me if it is tough to pick up ducats outside the stadium ? Thanks

There shouldn't be any problem, but you would actually have to get them off the stadium site from a scalper. The game won't sell out, or maybe you can get one of the "phantom" seats the City of San Diego pays for (right, Guru?)

Yeah, if you have a car, getting tickets should be easy. Just drive up and down Friars road and look for the guy with the cardboard sign.

Alternatively, you can just walk from McGregor's or the 7-11 on San Diego Mission RD. into the stadium (well, obviously don't park in the tow away parking) and you'll pass at least one scalper on the way in to the stadium.

Ebay might be pushing it this close to the game but if you are flying in, it's better to be sure...

Your analogy is similar to:

"They already have cars that you can drive, why not blenders?"
"I can already write with my hands, why not my pancreas?"
"They already have beef that I can eat, why not granite?"

If you're approaching from the west on Friars Rd., there are a few scalpers between Qualcomm Way and Fenton Marketplace as well.

BTW - Parking is $7 and you have to get there pretty early to get a decent spot.

IMHO - you are better off getting tickets in advance and taking the trolley in from Old Town or Fashion Valley - although even that might be kind of hairy considering that a lot of people use the trolley to avoid parking in the mall during Christmas shopping season.

mountinman44 & Guru - Thanks for the tips - E-Bay tix are priced in the scary range right now - I was really hoping that one of the two teams would have tanked by now so tix would be easy & cheap - doesn't matter, knowing my buddies, we will pick up seats as far away from the field as possible and work our way down during the game.....I haven't been to SD in 30 years so I am looking forward to it - too bad I have to fly home EARLY monday morning

Go Broncos !

I don't care who wins, but consider this my attempt to jinx them and at least make the rest of this game interesting. (LSU just got the ball up 31-10 in the third.)
