This was inspired by the Mattitude Entrance Video which I think is one of the GREATEST entrance videos of all time.

So, I was thinking, what do you think are the best entrance videos of all time? There have been some good entrance videos that fit in with the entrances of the wrestlers. There have also been some really bad and some weird ones. Most entrance videos are just montages of the wrestlers with chessy graphics. But there have been special ones.

One that I think is the best is the original De-Generation video. It just went well with the entire entrance. The music, the pyro, the ligthing. And the cool cutting between the video and the entrances.

I also liked the nWo entrance video. The black and white was cool.

I also liked the Corporation's first entrance video. The one where all the members were introduced one by one. It is better than Vince McMahon's current video which is just weird.

So what do you think are the best entrance videos ever in the WWF/E?

Dwayne Gill's video from Surivor Series. All it had were shots of him getting the shit kicked out of him by the "Superstars" he always used to face. Freakin' hilarious.

Worst one that comes to mind would have to be Molly's. All it seems to have are shots of her walking to the ring. What the hell's the point of that? Why not just show her walking to the ring in real time and save the effort of showing past clips of her walking. I know that eventually there's more to it, but videos are only really "shown" for the first 5-10 seconds for the wide crowd reaction shot, and it just seems like such a waste of talent.

The old video for Val Venis always cracked me up, with the various drills going into holes and trains going into tunnels

Dude Love's was great, but then they kinda re-hashed it for The Hurricane (with cheesy flying effects).

Val's was always awesome (the hot dog was what cracked me up).

I love Rey's "Lucha-In-The-Box" intro.

Christian's rock opera still makes me giggle.

But Mattitude Version 1.0 is my current favorite! You know, he's beaten the Undertaker 2 straight times...

Chris Jericho version one. Gangrel/The Brood. The Rock when he was leader of The Nation. Rob Van Dam One-Of-A-Kind version. Kane's original version. Those are the first 5 that come to mind.

Stand Back! There's a Hurricane coming through!

That's easily my personal favorite. Maybe because I'm a huge Hurri-mark....

I thought that Gangrel's entrance video was lame. Just the name with that cross thing? Nah.

I missed Smackdown! recently. (Damn work!) What's going on with Mattitude? What's that entrance about?

DX's entrance was good, and I did kind of like X-Pac's even though it was the same thing. I didn't like it when they did that Hansens plug every three seconds.

Ah well....

Another one for Hurricane, Mattitude, and Funaki. Number one! Announcer!

I like the part of Rey's entrance video with the masks, but the rest is purely average.

Well, you're right. Gangrel's video wasn't that awesome. I suppose I was seduced by the overall entrance. Same thing with Kane's original version. I seem to remember the Mean Street Posse's one being funny but maybe I'm mistaken. I liked William Regal's original one.

Eh, I like the part afterwards as well... some nice effects there. Although I would like to see someone bust out the negative-which-slides-off-later effect Redman had in his video for "Smash Sumthin".

Other than that, I can't think of any videos that stand out as being good... I know the Bossman video when he came back most recently was terrible, though. Why bother with a video when it's just clips of him hitting one person with a chair/briefcase?

Just wanted to clear something up. I meant William Regal's video when he was the Good Will Ambassador, not when he was The Real Man's Man (though that was hilarious, too).

The first entrance that I can remember that got my attention was Ric Flair. In a time when entrances didn't mean squat, his would really seperate him from the rest. The music alone put him on a higher level, one to be revered(or scared)in the eyes of the less knowledgeble viewers.
For old entrances, I would have to say The UnderTaker. Yeah, I really hate him now, but his entrances back in the day were the stuff that kids would talk about for a LONG time...
Hulk Hogan also, while sucking more than a $3 whore who needs a meal, had a great theme, which would cause most arenas to ERUPT.
Also, another terrible wrestler, the Ultimate Warrior, lots of energy, and the crowd would always get in a tizzy, feel the power of DESTRUCITY!
Shawn Michaels Entrances would also be in the top of my books (zip line, anyone?)
Of course, can't forget the classic Glass-Breaking Stone Cold Entrance...
DX's entrance I feel really started the modern trend of a long, BIG entrance, with lots of pyro.
I've also like the Y2J Entrance when he first arrived.
Oh, and the short-lived Kane/X-Pac Entrance was pretty cool as well.
Now, the modern Entrances, I would Pick Angle(soon to be a classic), RVD, and am really digging Mattitude v1.0
Of course, nowadays, it's even more about the flash and effects. In fact, it seems that the entrances are starting to get much more attention by the rubes than, you know...wrestling. I mean, isn't it really messed up when the Entrance can almost make or break someone???

Well, I've mentioned it before, but the Shelton Benjamin video (with his face superimposed on a $100 bill while he says, "It's all about the Benjamin!") from Heat a few weeks ago is pretty funny stuff.
And I'm a huge fan of of Christian's "So-hemian Rhapsody."
But all things pale in comparison to the coolness of Mattitude.com. It's the best new school entrance I've ever seen.

Well, I hate saying anything nice about Nash, but in his days as Diesel on Superstars, when Vince and Jerry would stand in front of the screen and Vince would piss his pants thinking a truck was about to hit him, is always funny.

I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.

Dean Malenko's Bond-esque entrance was swank
The R4dicals had a great entrance, too.
Chris Jericho's first WWF entrance was great
and lastly...
the original Stone Cold entrance...

Well...on the subject of Entrance Videos...my gf "surprised" me with the WWE: The Videos Ramped Up Vol 1 today. It has the following entrance videos:

Triple H
Undetaker
The Rock
Mr. McMahon
Kane
Chris Jericho
Edge
Kurt Angle
The Hurricane
Billy + Chuck

The videos are somewhat extended to about 3-4 minutes each. There is a special feature on the DVD which allows you to program a playlist to play the videos. Edge's old music is on there, "You think you know me" just for CRZ, Kane's old music is on there as well. UT's new music made the cut.
I am surprised they didn't hold off something like this for the Anthology. A Video Anthology would be badass. Well, we looked at it a couple of times and Edge has the best video. I can't believe I forgot it was before he got all Zombie-fied.

Hey, DSkillz...about the Rock's theme: is it his recent one where he's not repeating THE ROCK SAYS half a million times?

I remember WWE entrance videos being the same thirty or fifty seconds of footage and such, repeated and repeated. EX: Booker T. What about this one?

For myself, the Hurricane's entrance video is worth the purchase alone! Stand back! the SOK has to go to the video store!

Sorry, just saw this post. It is the new one where you don't hear, "The Rock Says" about 10,000 times. The entrance videos are not the same footage over and over. They have new footage. Edge's video has WMX8 footage in it. It is a truly extended video. Edge's video has some cool crap in it that I have never seen.

I wish they had had the "remix" of Angle's music on this. It was one they used for about 2 weeks, then scraped it. That was cool.

For 10 bucks, it's ok. I probably wouldn't have got it for myself, seeing how a PPV DVD is only 10 bucks more. BTW, there is nothing else on the DVD. No "making of" or interviews or anything.

Goldberg did it first out of the three. WWF and ECW, in a move to show that ANYONE can do a simple football tackle gave it to Edge & Rhino Heyman changed the name from "Spear" to "Gore" because that's what Rhino's do.
