Holy cow - how does our code even still work? (Answer: a lot of shims)

Although we're pretty much dead, it's somehow reassuring to know we're still here....unless you're one of those people who really, really wants the stuff they've written in 2003-5 to not be rediscovered.

I personally can't wait for someone to cancel me over the asshole I was 18 years ago, myself

Anyway, if you're still reading this....THANKS!

And...

WHY?!

This is the most active I've probably been since registering exactly 19 years ago today.

So at least there's THAT.

Cause - why not. No one seems to hate anyone. I can't even recall his name (and am too lazy to go look), but I kind of miss that guy in Politics that was so strident.

We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

It's always been more civilized here than basically anywhere else on the interwebs, back to the good old days when Your Zedness (& His Guru-ness, & all the other mods) had to do a goodly amount of enforcing that. I'm a big fan of civilized, & a big fan of smart.
Not nearly enough of that around anywhere these days ...

And there's also that. When I used to have to work with the baby implementers who couldn't manage to make a webpage work on more than one browser or more than one OS ... it's reassuring to me that there occasionally is still an existence proof of craftsmanship, quality, & pride of ownership. (Sappy old fogey.)

Grimis worked for Michael Steele, frequent contributor to MSNBC. I often wonder how he feels about this.
