with many states starting to open, which place - business, restaurant, church, medical professional - would you like to see opened first?
For me it is a barber. I need a cut bad
We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

My dog groomer just re-opened today. She is booked through May 20, so Ozzy, who is already 3 weeks overdue, will wait another nearly 3 weeks.
I agree on the barber call. Good friends own the bowling alley that I frequent, but I've gotten take out food from them twice per week to help support them in any little way I can. Once they open, it will be nice to tip a beer there.
I'd love a haircut but am in no hurry to actually go out in public to get one. Guess we'll see how bad I look with long hair. I've always wanted to know.
I miss walking the university to play Pokemon Go. And now that it's nice, there are some parks I'd like to walk through, but everyone else has the same idea so they're too crowded for my liking.
I haven't stepped into any building other than my apartment building in well over a month, and it's going to be weeks before I even consider it. If it doesn't HAVE to be open, as far as I'm concerned, it shouldn't be.
And back into lockdown for my neck of the woods. Poor behaviour and privileges revoked. Everything shut again for the next 6 weeks. State borders closed. Only allowed out for work (if WFH not possible), medical, food, exercise.
At least it isn't here. Zillons of people testing positive and our leaders demanding there be more openings and intermingling. I am for closing down until 2022

This is becoming wearisome.
Still, could be worse I reckon.
Yup, we had the same "open things / numbers appear to go to shit* / close things" happen here too. "Wearisome" is a good word; I'm tending toward "tedious".

Don't know how the communication was in other countries -- it's quite obvious here that "flattening the curve" was not well understood by most people here. I have to say that early on, I stumbled across Dr Siouxsie Wiles from New Zealand, who is a most excellent "science communicator". She & her graphic artist Toby Morris did an awesome job early on, & provided some awesome communication. Like ... making the situation & response options actually understandable.
(I just got off the weekly Group Facetime (*ugh*) call with my friends, who for the most part are very smart & educated people. This whole situation does seem to be the kind of thing that brings out the stupid in the smartest of people.)
