The furlough makes more sense, even though Storm, Finlay, etc have tweeted that they've lost their job. As someone said above, when/if there are house shows, traveling TV shows, etc again, they'll need the backstage producers...

One of the writers tweeted she was laid off last night... apparently she was in charge of the Mandy/Otis storyline.

NXT wrestler MJ Jenkins, who I don't think we've seen outside the Mae Young Classic really, tweeted she was let go.

And a lot of people did the math yesterday and said WWE has plenty of money, the Fox/USA deals are enough to keep them going even without house shows, merch sales, etc. But this is about looking good to their stockholders when the quarterly report comes out in a week or so...

The furloughs were generally mentioned in relation to backstage producers/NXT trainers being let go, and one presumes they are employees rather than independent contractors.

I think Storm only started a few months ago. He hasn't been at the job long.

I feel bad for how financially crushed these guys are going to be by this.

Still, as a fan of AEW/NWA, I'm excited by the potential signings.

Zack Ryder vs. the Elite is a dream feud for me.

Ethan Carter III should go back to being the world champion wherever he lands. Impact was never the same after he left. Hopefully Rockstar Spud joins him. Maybe Kurt Angle and Eric Young as well.

The Miracle and Maria would fit in well in Corgan's NWA.

I just feel bad that nobody bothered to add Curtis Axel. Not that bad, mind. But a little.

Um, what was that Spanish speaking two straight minutes with Nidia and Rey-Rey? I'm sorry, but that's retarded. I don't like not being able to understand what people are saying. It's okay for a few sentences but just plain stupid in this context...
