The Force Awakens is the only other one I can think of.

What a movie! It's still very much on my mind the day after seeing it.

Applause? The midnight showing I was at sounded like a concert or wrestling show. People couldn't stop cheering and in some instances (ya know...hammer time) screaming.

Loved the first & second acts where they put their plan together.
The third act, the battle OMG.....

It was better on second viewing by the way

Here my full thoughts with spoilers for this and Game of Thrones, because I was nerd exhausted this weekend and borderline delusional.

Fixed that for you.

It was one of the quietest movies I had been to. I had to pick and choose when I could put popcorn in my mouth as I didn't want to disturb the dude next to me. Then my son asked me to open his bag of sour patch kids. THAT was excrutiating.

When it WASN'T quiet, it was quite loud, me being one of the loud ones. Just loved it, my son did, too.

I had to tell my son that we open candy bags during action scenes or, better, before the movie, and then we move like a ninja to get them out during the movie.

I didn't care for the first hour or so. Too many cutesy moments.
But after that? OMG WHAT A BARN BURNER!

How they made Thanos more "human" while keeping him as the baddest bad guy ever was great writing and story telling.

The ending? My date was crying. But, that is her favorite Avenger and the only reason she kept watching the movies.

Absolutely brilliant way to end the series.

I don't know that I *want* more movies from the other characters.

Which one was her favorite? Because I didn't really cry for

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
Tony
because I had made peace with him (and really any of the original six) dying, but I teared up for

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
Steve
because that is EXACTLY the ending I wanted for him after all these movies and the ending he earned.

There was so much going on. SO. MUCH. I can't believe how quickly they flew through the events in those first ten minutes. This felt like it could have been a trilogy and they just decided to cram the second movie into the Captain Marvel post-credits and the very start of this movie. That part felt rushed but I see why they needed to do it.

I still can't believe that

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
Fat Thor
is a thing now. I know there were people reporting spoilers from some of the sets, but they all focused on stuff like certain props or actors allegedly showing up. How did no one catch a glimpse of that actor looking like he did??? I'm glad I didn't learn about that secret.

I'm really curious to see how Far From Home picks up now. Also, where will Agents of SHIELD fit into all this? Crazy.

Yes, it was THAT Avenger that was her favorite. But I had not been able to avoid that spoiler in particular, so I wasn't bothered with it at all.

As for the other Avenger's ending, I'm loving the way it turned out for him as well. And sitting looking at the lake was perfect.

The other thing you mentioned was the thing I was referring to as the cutesy, go for a laugh thing. Didnt care for it at all.

Also the "One soul has to be sacrificed" person. I was 100 percent fine with that person being the one. Never cared for that one, or the one that they were with at that point.

And, did anybody else get a Seinfeld Finale vibe in the last 20 minutes, where people showed up and you're like "Oh Yeah, they're part of this too". I mean its nice that just about everybody got in on the final battle, but at some point it was just enough.

I think I just read yesterday that SHIELD picks up post-Endgame. There was some new news released yesterday about some casting of new guest characters.

Yeah - what happened at Peter's school during all of this is something they'll have to address early in Far From Home for sure.

My favorite non-Spidey MCU character is

Peggy Carter
so that ending wrecked me.

It's a small point, but I would have liked the movie to have some acknowledgement of SHIELD. I'm not sure whether they could have fit Coulson into the flashbacks anywhere, but either way they could have had Quake, Melinda, and Mack make a cameo in the battle scene. If they can put Jarvis from Agent Carter in there, why not someone from the show that's on a network and reaches a lot more people? Especially since it's been away so long.

Marcus & McFeely (Endgame writers) were Executive Producers (and i think co-creators) on Agent Carter, so there's a direct connection where they'd want to bring Jarvis in. AoS was a Whedon project (and his brother still runs it), which isn't to say that its shunned, but there's no one behind the scenes to lobby for a cameo.

It was a 100% satisfying ending and I mean that in the best possible way. There is nothing about this movie that I would change. The girls sitting next to me and my boys were bawling. My boys (20, 16, 14) thought it was fantastic.

I am more than a little curious as to where Marvel goes now. But I am in for the ride!

I totally agree. I kept expecting a reversal but was glad it did not. That character has been my least favorite since day one.
