Mine has recently become Singapore - second time here and I love the food, the MRT makes getting around town cheap and easy, and there are a zillion beautiful ladies to look at. Plus lots of fun sights to see.
We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

OK, I have to reply in the most Singaporean way possible: What are your favorite dishes? Got any favorite hawkers?
I spend about half the year in SG these days. I highly recommend it for the reasons you give.
I can’t tell you the actual names because I don’t pay as much attention as a should. East coast hawker center is my favorite but hard to get to for me. The one at Chinatown people park or whatever it is called is easiest for me. Because I am supposed to always use a credit card I don’t eat at them always but some. The mutton soup thing is probably my favorite. The chicken dish with cut up chicken and rice. I just look at the pictures.
Pretty much anything that is a noodles and soup bowl I am going to love. Had Tom Yum at a place down hear Clarke Quay ( on a street where there were a LOT of hookers) and it was the best Tom Yum I have ever had - made at your table. It was amazing. Had some Korean food at a little dive off in Chinatown - just amazing.

Some of my favorites are Wah Kee Big Prawn Noodles (prawn noodle soup) at Pek Kio hawker center, Tai Wah Minced Meat Noodle (bok chor mee) at Lavender Road, and No. 10 Zion Road Char Kway Teow at Zion Road hawker center.
putting those in my back pocket. I intend to be back there during the summer

Given that the virus has gotten loose again here, I've pretty much written off Winter (although the weather the last few days has been bloody lovely! Blue skies, crisp, no wind, max about 15 degrees C. Perfect Winter's days).
