So, being gigantic fans of the original, my wife and I decided to watch the relaunch/reboot of the show.

Overall the writing seems very strong with the same tempo and quality of jokes.

Seeing both Becky's in one scene and the dialog there was great.

The fact Becky's storyline husband died, when the actual actor that played him is in fact dead of an OD was a good, subtle point.

Lots to like about the new show. Hope it keeps strong like the first two episodes.

Anybody else catch this?

Me and my wife watch it. Overall we like it but it has some issues like what happened to The Lunchbox, the diner they owned? It seems odd She would be driving for uber when they have a business. What happened between Darlene and David? , What exactly does and doesn't count from the final episode? because in that episode Becky and Mark say they are pregnant and now as of episode 3 we get a whole different story. I just wish they would be clear about what is and isn't canon

I'm assuming we are supposed to forgot the final season happened, since Dan held up Roseanne's book and basically crapped on it. The season before Dan had his heart attack and I'm assuming everything from there on out is not included in the actual lifeline of the show.

Original Becky and DJ are such terrible actors though. I was shocked when Becky was able to cry on cue.
DJ is there I think just to fill like 20-30 seconds a show and never be seen again.

When did Jackie have her baby in the original run of the show?

Good general advice, even if you're not watching v2.0

At least the entire final season wasn't canon, because the last scene was Roseanne revealing it was just the book.

I didn't think I would, but I am enjoying this show. Good writing, good acting and some nice call backs. Don't know how long they can keep it running though but I'll enjoy it this season

Yeah, there were maybe one or two gags that I chuckled at, but Homer as a snitch has been done. Fat Tony dying, then coming back as his brother was just weird.
