I haven't seen a thread on this show, or maybe I missed it. The last episode of the season is next week and so far, for a "spin off" of one of the greatest TV shows ever, it has held my attention and kept me coming back for more.

If you have not watched it, I encourage you to do so. It is well written, well acted and well directed. It is not as good as Breaking Bad, but it is an excellent show and one I have thoroughly enjoyed.

Is anyone else watching it or did everyone assume it had to be bad?

Agreed. I haven't seen Episode 9 yet, but I have thoroughly enjoyed this show so far. The slow burn from Jimmy to Saul has been perfectly executed and the acting from all angles is excellent(Jonathan Banks should get recognized for his work in Five-O.) All in all I am really happy about the way this show has worked out so far and would definitely recommend it whether you were a Breaking Bad fan or not.

Yeah, it's been pretty great. I just watched this week's episode last night. Michael McKean has been truly outstanding in it and I'm excited to see where it goes from here.

We're also big fans. I was a little worried that Gilligan was spinning off two popular 'Breaking Bad' characters just for the hell of it, but it's pretty clear he had a story in mind. And everyone is just acting the hell out of their roles.

I don't know if I agree - or, at least, I think this season is just as good, if not better, than the first season of Breaking Bad. Splitting hairs...

The only episode of Breaking Bad I ever saw was the last half of the finale, so I know of no backstory of any of the characters.

That being said, my wife and I love this show. I have spent more time watching this than Raw, and honestly can't wait for next Monday to see both episodes as I mostly watched the post-WM Raw this week.

I have only missed two episodes, the billboard one and the one where he finds the Kellerman's camping.

With Walking Dead and this show coming to a season end, I don't have much else to watch now. Oh, well, time to start on the garden!

With college basketball season winding down I'm finally catching up on shows I've been DVR'ing the past few months and this was first on the list. I only started watching Breaking Bad the last couple of seasons so while I know Jimmy/Saul & Mike well enough I have no idea how many other easter eggs have been dropped (if any) for what's to come but I have enjoyed this show immensely.

It's easy to talk about how great Jonathan Banks' work was in Five-0 (and it was) but Bob Odenkirk has been doing a great job himself. We "know" he eventually becomes a really slimy lawyer but seeing his joy at passing the bar to the genuine joy when his brother offered to work the nursing home case with him were great and is going to make it such a downer when he eventually makes that decision that Mike had to make on behalf of his son and then the family his son left behind and really climb into the muck.

I'm still an episode behind but will try to get to it before the season finale this week. Not sure how many years they'll try to go with this but it's been very entertaining to me so far.

It is a very good show. Naturally, there are going to be comparisons and parallels to Breaking Bad. Thankfully, I think they are doing quite a bit to give the show its own identity and to make it compelling on its own.

It is a little slow moving, which I also like. End of the first season, and he still isn't Saul yet. Great way to enrich the show and give it a fairly long life.

That's the best part. He has not made that transformation to Saul, but you can see and feel it coming.

I only ever watched, maybe 10 episodes of Breaking Bad, and I didn't like it. This show, however, if fantastic.

I only started watching it cause I like Michael McKean and Bob Odenkirk. They work really well together. I know nothing about the characters except what I've seen on this show. None of the BB episodes I saw had them on. The first two episodes made Jimmy out to be kinda slimy, but he seems, maybe 'misguided' would be the word? It felt like his brother was a good guy and looking out for him, but then this week made a dark turn with that.

I'm liking the non-linear storytelling. I didn't see that in any of the BB episodes I watched either.

Forget it Josh... it's Cerebustown.

You should have watched more episodes. BB used non-linear storytelling a few times a season.

I like that Chicago Sunroof is now part of the urban dictionary.

Honestly, this episode dragged on and on, with all the yammering and scamming, and by the end, both my wife and I were tired of it and don't see us following this show any more. We say that now, but after the season break, we might check out the premiere and see where they are heading, but if it's all about Saul yapping incessantly, we're done. Not that we didn't enjoy the ride up to now, tho!

If they made one without Sups 3 and 4 for about $20 cheaper, I would be all over it. I like that they include some of the Fleischer toons.
