Well, that's an unfortunate time for me to find his latest tweet. Sorry about that, if you're offended by butts. Jaime is a pretty queer artist (I'd add "just ask him" but I promise you'd found that out unprompted without asking him) and quite a provacoteur amongst the Twin Cities art scenes...whatever they are...in addition to being a great human being, which is mostly how *I* know him, as I have managed to skip out and miss almost all of his performances. He usually hangs out on Facebook and doesn't tweet too much; when he DOES tweet, it's almost always a photo of his cats crossposted from Tumblr.
My rule is to post the latest TWEET, not to post the latest retweet when giving you an example tweet, but it looks like Rasheed set up this account, retweeted once, and then never used it again. Possibly meant as a companion account to his "Mr. V-Ray" blog. This is all very inside-Symantec stuff nobody cares about, I reckon. Let's move on
Our district's GOP will NEVER win an election, but they're always good for a larf. (I do wonder if folks around here will ever get the idea in their collective heads that perhaps blindly following one party for decades may NOT be the best course of action.) I used to follow some individual folks representing the party, but they were just so, so awful, and abused the dot-at reply (dude, NOBODY needs to read EVERY reply you're tweeting out), were generally aggressive, belligerent and hostile...well, basically every bad stereotype about Repulicans you've ever heard, but actually backing it up. Those people were unfollowed and haven't exactly reformed their behaviour. I do wonder if I would get more or less followers if I suddenly started spouting political talking points...but I think I'm incapable of Twittering that way for very long. (I BARELY got political **while I was ostensibly running for mayor**)
I'm listening to it. Wow is right. @Stowydad Wow, Fran Tarkenton is just unloading on Goodell, NFL on CNN.
I love that Ramsey Lewis, the last guy I'd expect to be on Twitter, is on Twitter. Very infrequent tweeter, mostly lets me know which town very far away from me he's performing in. I'd love to see him live before one of us croaks
Learned to play chess. Ibelieve my game fits my personal style. any two players that u know i will beat at least one of them 4/4
KARE morning show hostess - I swear, this woman NEVER sleeps. Usually one of the four people awake on my timeline at 2am, when she retweets a bunch of breaking news and/or news I'd already read several hours ago
Formerly one half of Global Communication, has performed under so many aliases I can't count - now releasing under his own name as well (this track "Shinkansen" is particularly good) - thankfully, his releases usually show up as cheap Amazon MP3s because otherwise I'd never be able to hear them
Formerly one half of Global Communication - I think I sought him out when I found out Tom was on Twitter. Does a lot more DJing and collaborative work than Middleton, but like Middleton shares a lot of incredible music (usually via YouTube videos) on his timeline - I do wonder if we'll ever get another Global Communication album; they were INCREDIBLE slices of ambient and/or funk from outer space.
I never buy anything they promote but I do like knowing what they're putting out. One day they'll put out that thing that only I will be interested in, I'm sure.
Formerly the account of twins Angela & Amber Cope, who drove (if you can call it that) in the Nationwide Series. Amber's since disappeared off the face of the earth. I always mean to tweet Angela, asking "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH AMBER?!" only I don't think she'd find it as amusing as I would. Amber is the hotter twin, by the way. Sorry, Angela, but I think you know it's true.
Originally posted by BigDaddyLocoSly Stone Tweets? I'm in on that.
Sly Stone tweets if you're very, very, very patient and don't mind waiting for months and years. (On the other hand, when he DOES tweet, it's always a pleasant surprise!)
Former (briefly) Timberwolf - I would unfollow him for his generally useless Seattle tweets but he just doesn't tweet often enough to get me to pull that trigger
Formerly Wahooly, now very inactive (and their domain name is "parked")...or else I would have unfollowed them. In fact, I think I'll unfollow them now just to play it safe
JB went to UCR the same time I did (friend of a girlfriend), now tweets very abstractly about Los Angeles. This is actually the most lucid thing he's tweeted in about a year, so you're lucky there.
You know, I don't know if I actually know her or not - I think I followed her because she followed me and a lot of my Minneapolis friends were already following her. She used to promote bands through this account, but now mostly lets you know how awful Monsanto is. I can't bring myself to unfollow her. I guess I'm waiting for her to unfollow me. How passive aggressively Minnesotan!
Former NASCAR Nationwide driver, deserved a better gig but hasn't gotten it. Consider her as Danica with a better personality and no sense of entitlement...and also no sponsorship, which is why she tweets about sitting around at home instead of driving.
May still post here, not sure - I have no idea why his Twitter is private as you'd think he'd want the world to see him heckle other people I also follow and be a big homer for the 49ers
Down at the GA Agriculture Show in Moultrie today. Swing by and have some GA Peanuts and see our @CSX show car.
The guy who ran these monthly shows got a better job in Las Vegas and suddenly these shows didn't happen any more. Ah, precious memories evoked through dead Twitter accounts I will follow forever...
KARE reporter whose beat is puff pieces that win assloads of local Emmys - ah, old people are treasures, but so are very, very young people as well! (Everybody inbetween in Minnesota, however, can suck it)
Can't wait to see what my bro @DDPYoga is planning as commissioner at MCW's Tribute to the Legends tomorrow night. pic.twitter.com/HAyQDjgaUh
Former (I say "former" a lot but it tells you how I ended up originally following these people) ticket rep with the Timberwolves, but quickly moved on to bigger and better things - first as a corporate rep for the Timberwolves, and now...I think he's part of some other giant sports marketing company? I thought he was selling Vikings tickets for the new stadium, but maybe he even outgrew THAT
Basketball season is almost here. Find great gear with a great message at http://t.co/7RSlbWXkCY
Anthony Tolliver has something to do with this "faith-based" clothing company I should have unfollowed years ago, so I'll take care of that right now. Unbearable, constant advertisement of themselves. Is this what God really wants for us?
Check out the new "BIG HOSS TV" at Texas Motor Speedway !! The largest HD Video Board in the World! Sitting... http://t.co/TXAloRTX5q
"Underfunded" Nationwide team (24/00) which may or may not still be running...I'll have to check - they clearly laid off their social media volunteer at the beginning of the season, for sure - and apparently their website person as well because that site is pretty bare
In another life, ran otherarena.com and went very far in the Microsoft company structure - now runs his own business and blogs a whole lot less - mainly trolls people on Facebook these days
Man, I used to LOVE Sebastian Telfair, and then he started this...I mean, it isn't even a clothing company; ostensibly it's a financial advice company but HE CAN'T STOP TWEETING ABOUT CLOTHES AND THIS FUCKING HASHTAG WHICH SUCKS AND I'm very satisfied to unfollow him. (Note to self: don't follow people whose feed is solely clothing company nonsense)
Wow, TWO unfollows in one group of ten! We're really getting somewhere now!
There was a time (and it may still be happening) where literally everything Alex (who is a director) tweeted was retweeted by John Orquiola, so I thought "well, let's save a step." BY THE WAY, "House of Bodies" JUST came out on Blu-ray
Happy Friday! As @BCorporation we live our mission everyday: Making the Internet private, secure & fair. Big thanks to all our supporters
You know, I can unfollow these dudes. I think I was following them because I was waiting for their Android app to finally get released, but now that I have it, I have absolutely zero need to read any of the boring stuff they tweet about themselves and/or "quotes" - they have over 35 million followers; they won't miss me
I don't even watch the show anymore but, like MediaBuzz, they mostly tweet on Sunday mornings so I'm not excessively aggravated by their contribution to my timeline. I suppose I should start watching again, but....Brian Stelter, man, I dunno about that. Is he really an upgrade from Howie Kurtz - who actually wasn't all that great to begin with? Ah, my Sunday mornings...I used to watch so much political nonsense and now I'm down to 28 minutes of "The McLaughlin Group" and that's it - and THAT account doesn't even tweet! AND WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THE 65 MPH SPEED LIMIT?
Head honcho of Timberwolves digital - does a lot of "LinkedInny" stuff with his account I am not interested in but when you're living the dream, you do stuff like that. I guess? I think I follow him because he gives things away during the Timberwolves season. (I HOPE that's it - scanning through his recent tweets I'm not totally sure why I follow him. I think he'll pick up once the season starts...but I'm keeping a closer eye on him for a possible unfollow in a month or two)
MPD is moving forward with a single source Twitter experience for all 3 PIO's. Please follow @MPD_PIO This site will no longer be used.
— Sgt. William Palmer (@MPD_PIO_Palmer) May 1, 2013
Minneapolis Police Department Public Information Officers are excellent follows...well, WERE...looks like they've all consolidated and shut down. That's never a good thing, by the way - sure, you probably save some money somewhere but we end up with less juicy blotter material
I am leaving the Public Information Office, I thank you for following me over the years. For info about the MPD, follow MPD_PIO.
— SGT Stephen McCarty (@MPD_PIO_McCarty) June 1, 2013
Hmmm, maybe it's just attrition and lack of backfill? I'm sure we'll see @MPD_PIO later in this thread...
Formerly great user tracking service which went under after one of Twitter's anti-developer rate limiting schemes was enacted - now doesn't tweet much at all. There seem to be a lot of sad stories around people who built really cool stuff on top of Twitter only to get their knees cut out from under them. (How I have managed to keep my own Twitter things running is something of a minor miracle, but it helps that they all have a userbase of 1 instead of many)
#askmarty Dear Marty, can anything good come of MLB returning to Montreal? Additionally, do you agree that Canadian bacon is just ham?
With @esbColors inactive AGAIN, THIS is your go-to account for a daily update of which lights are turned on at the Empire State Building - is it weird that I follow two accounts for this purpose, given that I'm at least two thousand miles away from that building? (MAYBE.)
I followed Josh when he was the third driver at Front Row - now competes for Phil Parsons and has a very unlikely Reddit following. (FULL DISCLOSURE: I also bought a #dogecar shirt - IT TOTALLY RULES)
Renters Warehouse Announces HomeWatch! Perfect for snowbirds and vacationers. http://t.co/EyH4RaUMbI
Former GOP candidate for... shoot, I don't remember. I think he ran against Sen. Klobuchar. (Consults Wikipedia) Yep - he lost by 35 points. That's close... for a Republican! Still rails against fiscal stuff which (sadly) nobody cares about around here
Former KARE sports director, now bigtime anchorman. Hard to believe he was so reluctant to join Twitter as he now has over 2500 tweets since joining in May 2012
Anders in Dragon Age II is nice, but he's no Alistair. "Swooping is bad." Valentine has set the bar. @Stevevalentine
Former Timberwolves Fan Experience rep - she's a dear. I have no idea what she's doing these days (beyond obviously rooting for the Vikings for some reason)
Originally posted by CRZ With @esbColors inactive AGAIN, THIS is your go-to account for a daily update of which lights are turned on at the Empire State Building - is it weird that I follow two accounts for this purpose, given that I'm at least two thousand miles away from that building? (MAYBE.)
I work in that building and didn't realize there were Twitter accounts for that until this thread.
Former record store who became a recordmobile. I put their Kickstarter over the top and have a discount card...but I still haven't ever visited them. I think they track their comings and goings on Facebook now
.@presjpolk if i play the stock market or open a small business I am "gambling" but i bet you dont support govt intervention then. Why?
City Pages used to do a lot more giveaways through this account - not so much now (although they occasionally share coupon codes for events). They only tweet a couple times a day, so they're safe from my unfollowing wrath...for now
Need an early treat for someone's birthday! #Moto360
Ah, AK. He is the worst - ABSOLUTE worst tweeter I follow. His horrible, unfunny, untimely, pandering, irrelevant, politically questionable "content" is undoubtedly compounded by the fact that he has amassed an army of favoriting idiots who trick him into thinking the (mostly) crap he tweets are things that should be encouraged and repeated. It's all I can do to not openly heckle, like, 75% of the tweets he craps out. I can't unfollow him because, Twitter aside, I actually like him and think he's a fine fellow. Also, it allows heckling from people we mutually follow to show up in my timeline. (Oh, hi, AK.) That said, as I scroll back through his recent twitstream, he's been much less insufferable over at least the past month, so maybe real life has beaten most of the will to "entertain" out of him. (I know, I know.... "...said the guy who tweets a hundred times during RAW" - we all have our own special hypocrisy to live)
I used to kill 90 minutes a week on Saturdays watching The Beltway Boys, The Journal Editorial Report and Fox Newswatch (and ANOTHER 30 or 60 watching "The Capital Gang" on CNN) - but only JER has survived, so now I waste my Saturdays watching whatever NASCAR is on. I only catch JER MAYBE half the time. Their Twitter sucks. "McLaughlin Group" is still the best (even though THEIR Twitter sucks as well)!
Former KARE sports utility man who spends a lot of time wondering why he's unemployed and why younger, more attractive people are getting the jobs he's applying for - between obsessive bouts of tweeting "obscure" statistics nobody's interested in during (Gophers, Vikings, Twins, Wild, Lynx, Timberwolves) games. I was ready to throw in the towel and unfollow him but now I kinda feel a compulsion to see if he ever gets employed again. (I will probably unfollow him the next time he egregiously does one of the things I've just complained about...oh, or rails on the same topic for like ten tweets in a row. Anyway, when that happens, he probably won't miss me.)
The dollar began in the possession of @SteveKrak on 8/12/12, and was spent at a deli on the UWS of NYC at 5:00pmET. #IHaveTheDollar
I once tweeted that it was CRIMINAL that our only female moderator Dutchie only had 5 followers on Twitter. She's now up to 6, at least...no thanks to me. Ask her about Penn State sometime!
No relation to above - Chaka is the best, not just because she retweeted me once (but it don't hurt)! She's a self-promoter, but like a one-tenth Sheila E. which is well under the bar for unfollowing. I'd like to see her live some time but she doesn't seem to hit this part of the country very often/ever.
Actually, that tweet led to a DM from a friend who told me that taking my account off private would help with that. I'm more amused now because I can see how followers change based on tweets. For example, tweeting that an Oscar Wilde statue looks like Hugh Grant leads to gaining six Oscar Wilde accounts as followers, until they figure out you'll never tweet about Oscar Wilde again and drop you. :)

I feel much the same. A likable guy who I have known for eons now, but his Twitter is just not for me. But lots of dudes are good dudes who I don't need to be following.
Politically, I think he and I are largely aligned, but even then, there was a lot of muttering "c'mon, man" on my part. But I'm sure I earn my share of that as well.
I have been letting you down in the heckling department of late. As I hinted at before, I muted AK some time ago for similar reasons. I haven't seen much in the way of commentary from the usual suspects so I'm thinking this may be a widespread condition.
AK's Twitter reminds me of a chat room of yore, though only if you were some how muted everyone in the room but one.
I spend a couple of plane flights reading the Twitter book, and one of the big philosophy schisms between the founders was about how Twitter should be used - one believed it's best as a news reporting device (in kind of a one to many method), another believed it was a tiny personal journal (one about one.) AK is doing something entirely different, using it as a group messaging service where it's only truly useful to be a follower if you're following a the rest of the group so you can actually follow the conversation. And what he's writing is just enough for me to know I'm missing a bunch of context but not enough for me to be interested in following a lot more people.
I think I do some of the same and I also like AK so I don't want to unfollow him and I haven't muted him yet - but I'm also a crazy obsessive who has to read every single message on my timeline and so need to purge old people when I want to add new people and he's near the cut line.
Johnson's running mate appears to have given up Twitter - or at least this particular account...hmm, I wonder what "OAI" stands for and when he added that to his handle - ah, it's "Our America Initiative" (Johnson's PAC) - well, shows how much I'VE been paying attention!
Occasional keyboard player for fDeluxe and an extended member of the Peterson family (Paul's...cousin? Nephew once removed in law?), tours with all sorts of big acts, notably Kenny G. Has his own smooth jazzy CD which ... wasn't great. He's a big Timberwolves fan which I get a real kick out of - also a Vikings fan, but recorded a "Vikings Suck" song and stuck it on his Soundcloud...also hilarious. I love this guy!
The much maligned producer of Craig Ferguson's "Late Late Show" - looks like he got hacked (I had to scroll through A LOT of Russian links to find his REAL last tweet)
The @Vikings stadium will cost $803 million. About $184 million of the work is done so far.
Voice of the American Wrestling Federation - but his day job at the Minnesota Capital may be even more interesting - wrestling aside, he's a good follow for St. Paul scoops I wouldn't hear anywhere else.
I had a friend who worked at the brick and mortar version of this food truck - she's not there any more but I still plan on eating there some day. It's practically within walking distance from the house but I can never seem to get my butt over there.
LA folks, we play the Bootleg Hfi tonite, hitting the stage around 9:30. Last show of the 1st leg of the #Commonwealth tour.
I followed them the night of a concert, they followed me back, and we've been together ever since. I actually missed their last show which was like...two weeks ago maybe? Kim put some pictures on her Facebook.
Scott Christ's boxing account. I should probably unfollow it because I'm never watching any of the things he live tweets, but they're interesting enough in real time (if hell several hours later) for me to stick around.
One night, while watching "McLaughlin Group," I asked myself: "hey, are any of the panelists on Twitter?" And here they are. They'd balance each other out nicely except Pat tweets WAY more of his stories than Eleanor does.
Remember going to the library and having to use microfilm to study for a test or research a paper? So medieval.
Marcus Metropolis can be counted on to be awake when nobody else in Minneapolis is (or nobody except me, some nights) - I think I've met him in person, like, once - maybe twice. He's entertaining enough but some nights I do wish he'd find a significant other to spend some time off Twitter with.
Official photographer of the Minnesota Timberwolves and/or Target Center. I think he officially works for Getty Images? Anyway, obviously good for sharing photos
Official Twitter of the now defunct Japanese punk band...now (along with a few other accounts) tracks the comings and goings of frontman/musical genius Don Matsuo-- hey wait, is that a live bootleg coming out in November? WELL SIGN ME UP
If i had to do it all again, I would do so many things different. #Staytruetoyou
I believe he actually won NASCAR Rookie of the Year one year - hasn't had a ride for quite a while (maybe even since he won that award?), and went through a bout of what felt from his tweets like he had some mental illness. He's no Brandon Whitt!
Ok but seriously who has the other green I'm looking for on mcdonalds monopoly?? Lol
On a Timberwolves summer roster as a favor to Brandon Roy - what a great move THAT was - now tweets a lot about how Seattle doesn't have an NBA team. As if we weren't aware...but, hey, sorry that Kings deal didn't work out for ya! I could unfollow him but he stlil has a good line now and again and doesn't tweet all THAT much.
Oh, shit, Louis ended up on the Cavaliers? Is he still there? (checks) Oh, shit, he's there AND he's wearing #89! I'll have to find some way to root for him while still hating the Cavaliers. That might be a challenge.
Competitive market analysis is a good way to strip out the uniqueness of your idea. #smallbizcon
LynnB (as she was known then) hired me for my first tech support gig at Aimnet. She recently remarked that we've been friends for 20 years (actually, 19.5 - June 1995) and probably didn't mean "it's much easier to be friends when you're thousands of miles apart and only see each other on social media" but - damn, SHE'S back in Cleveland?! Everything's Cleveland today
Whilst we put the final touches to our next single, here is our last single, Satisfy - Live from Reading festival http://t.co/7zwdXHfASz
Former Timberwolves front office guy now working the front office for the MN United Football Club. I have no idea what league they're in but it sounds like a fun time and I really should go watch a match some time. (Ha ha, will never happen)
Former boyfriend and/or roommate of a friend (or maybe still...I guess I should ask), had a midnight slot on KFAI but I don't know if that's still happening. Hell, *I* should start volunteering at KFAI. I have all this free time, after all (Yep, he's still on the KFAI schedule! He's woefully behind on his archives, but still... [affixes shades] kicking)
Did the WOW return happen anywhere besides Las Vegas public access? None of us ever talked about it so I'm guessing nobody saw it. You'd think they'd AT LEAST put their episodes out on YouTube, or Vimeo, or whatever Wrestlicious used...hey is Wrestlicious still around? I'm guessing not so much. Anyway, you wanted wrestling, here's some wrestling. Ha!
Current play-by-play voice of the Timberwolves. I never followed the old guy...who wasn't so great. Dave IS great. I don't even think Jim Petersen is carrying him! (But it's possible) By the way, that media guide is ALSO pretty great. You should save it on your hard drive and refer to it throughout the NBA season.
FOX announcer just said "Buffalo has the lead." as they went to break on the Vikings game. Ummm no they don't.
Lily was the last Friendster holdout and may have also been the last original Myspace holdout. She gave up on Facebook. Fortunately, she still tweets and she's ALL over Instagram. Many of the friends of friends I mention are probably really friends of Lily. She's always doing fun stuff hanging out with amazing people who aren't me. If I sound jealous...I probably don't leave the house enough.
Adrian Peterson used charity money to help pay for his hotel room orgy, instead of paying out-of-pocket for it like us regular folks do.
I have no idea who this guy is. I think I followed him because he heckled the "Timberwolves Army" and I liked all the other one liners he very rarely tweets. I'll keep following him, naturally.
THE BEST. Group of Spanish fans who are nutso for the Timberwolves. This year, their hilarious video was a reworking of the "Beverly Hills, 90210" opening credits - go find it. Unfortunately it looks like they've left Twitter so we're left with other people tweeting their video links out instead of getting it straight from the source.
ALSO THE BEST. Color commentator for the Timberwolves and not afraid to ... whatever the opposite of "dumbing it down" is on commentary. Listening to him will give you an education in basketball. He's also assistant coach for the Lynx, so he has perspective from the coaching angle as well. He's so good I fear we'll lose him to a "better gig" some day but hopefully we can keep him occupied here in Minny between the Wolves AND the Lynx and he won't be able to straddle those worlds in some other, larger city.
The family is where we are formed as people. Every family is a brick in the building of society.
I love the Pope! Who doesn't love the Pope? (Everybody who responds to him, it feels like) Anyway, it's only a tweet a day, usually, way early in the morning US time, so he's an almost perfect follow. (Benedict wasn't bad, either - I followed the account back when he started it)
I probably followed them when they had some other name and a relevant product but now their clutter is totally worthless to me and I am delighted to unfollow them.
Informal Minneapolis animal owners poll: do you have a license for your dog or cat?
Minneapolis blogger and privacy advocate (amongst other causes) I started following when I was running for mayor (I think?) - he gets on about super unimportant stuff sometimes, but the IMPORTANT stuff he goes on about is really important.
How the hell does the home plate ump need help on THAT? The officiating this postseason has been TERRIBLE. #WorldSeriesGame1
The man behind fDeluxe, formerly The Family, formerly of The Time (Purple Rain version) and also currently one half of LP Music (with fellow fDeluxe-r Eric Leeds). Also, he loves THE LORD! I could do worse for a role model if I were looking for a 50 year old guy to be my role model.
Ultimately I have not signed with Galatasaray despite the rumors. I am still a free agent and looking forward to the #WorldCup2014 .
I don't know why I follow this one - probably as a favor to @DrPepper. They tend to run together for me and I have such a great love for Dr Pepper (the product family) that I don't mind seeing their tweets. I'm actually FINALLY getting a shirt from one of their "be one of the first 100 retweets" so it's TOTALLY paying off to follow them!!!!!!
I never click on any of his links any more but I do feel better knowing that Ron's still fighting some sort of good fight, even as I promise to never give him another dime of my own. (That's very Libertarian of me, right?)
Sting vs Vader in February '92. Love it. Great action, and Harley Race was so good as a heel manager punching bag. #WCW
Old-timely Internet wrestling cat was pretty late to Twitter, but when he followed me, I definitely had to follow him back. He probably deserves to have more than 30 followers.
...and Happy Father's Day to you!@_Jesse_Johnson @wolvespaguy
Best known as frontman for Dead or Alive, Pete spends most of his time THESE days taking questions about his plastic surgery and advocating for trans folks. I've followed him for what feels like forever and this is MAYBE the first musical stuff he's been able to talk about - and even THAT is just an update of one of his earlier releases. I think....I think I just unfollowed him. Yep. Sorry, Pete - I know you and your husband will be very happy either way, so I'll be happier if I don't have to see a hundred retweets of people showing me your new/latest face. (I also suspect I'll still see a lot of his tweets via El Fano's retweets - but we'll see)
Merry Christmas to all people celebrating today, to all of those who support me and my teammates in every single day
He's tweeted ten times in three years and still has a Timberwolves photo for an avatar despite now being on the Sixers (and wearing #88). Obviously I'll follow him forever.
Hooray, 400! I can ALMOST make out a light at the end of the tunnel! (Current "real time" following count: back to 535)
