Here are some more thoughts from a demented mind in Central Florida:

Using Cole, Lawler and JBL's melty smiley faces to constantly bombard us with the price and features has run it's course. Now let's say a commercial comes on and it's a 30 to 40 second slick production of say Scott Steiner tossing weights intercut with clips of him destroying people in WCW. The spot ends with him simply saying something akin to "You want to see The Big Bad Booty with the largest arms in the world, only on the WWE Network. Holla if you hear me!" Graphic for the WWE Network pops up.

Give the guys who did the beautiful Sting in WWE2k15 commercial some more stuff to do and shoots some money to former wrestling talent that the older fans fondly remember. Those older fans who have credit cards who can pay for a membership. They don't have to be that elaborate either. Give Rock a bushel of cash, a mic and a camera and he can cut a promo during a lunch break on his newest movie that can put over the Network. Then give a fannypack of cash to Justin Credible, and a camera, and mic to put over the Network. Get creative. People like getting a feeling of cool nostalgia rather than outright begging when it comes to Pro Wrestling or any entertainment in general, plus that Sting 2k15 commercial created some strong buzz for the company and the game.

OMFG This. So. Much. This. I'd go so far as to extend it to AWA/Mid-South/WCCW stars - for fuck's sake, for all three of those, Michael Hayes is **already on payroll**. You've got DiBiase for Mid-South on a legends contract, and what's Kevin Von Erich up to these days, outside of living in Hawaii with his family? Hell, just pay Sandman in beer for ECW.

Why yes, I am both a musician and a lawyer. Thanks for asking. :)

Best-laid plans and all that.

I've found nary a fault with a minute of the Cena/Lesnar build, and it feels like a special match. But the story of Bryan overcoming all challengers (Kane, Batista Kane 2, probably Orton, maybe Wyatt after Cena was through with him), leading to Beard vs. Beast and the most valiant struggle we've ever seen, would've been dynamite. But maybe it's not as bittersweet for Brock to wreck Cena instead of Bryan.

And we'll probably still get to see Bryan challenge Lesnar ... in his return at the Royal Rumble. :-/

If Bryan doesn't get hurt and Batista is amenable to jobbing to him at Payback, it'd be nice to think the Shield would've stayed together too, but I assume they would've just broken up the night after Extreme Rules.

We got this Megan Miller brilliance here and yet, in three weeks, LITERALLY ZERO MENTION of Daniel Bryan the crimestopper, the best mainstream press WWE could've ever debased themselves to TMZ for in their wildest dreams. I actually thought Steph was going to confess to having their house robbed.

How did Oos not make SummerSlam? I get Cesaro, who somehow spun BANKRUPT. I get Sheamus, who had AIDS or something for a couple weeks. But Usos have been killing it and the Dustbusters thing was right there. I would think maybe a multi-tag in the pre-show, but the lumberjack stip is there to get everyone on the card.

LOL the lumberjack stip.

Beige also rhymes with Paige. Apparently Eva blew herself up blowing that kiss.

Or, go the Jerry Lawler route and have him rip them down when he's super pissed and "hulking up". It worked for the King in Memphis for decades, it could work for Swagger.

Well supposedly Sheamus spent the past few weeks learning the power of the Dark Side, if the dirt sheetz are to be believed...

And there was an announcement of an Uso Open Tag Team Challenge for Main Event tonight, which apparently ended up as Usos vs. Rybaxel vs... RVD & Sheamus??

As if we needed any more evidence that the guys booking this garbage are utterly incompetent ... instead of giving Double Dust a chance to get some exposure, they randomly shove RVD and Sheamus together?!? They don't even have any connection with each other! GAAHHHH FUCK YOU WWE.

You just came off a great series of matches with the Usos and The Wyatts that elevated the division and carried a bunch of your shows and you follow it up with ... nothing.

Those two teams go on to elavate nobody, they lose their moment, the hotly contested belts are forgotten and everyone goes back to square one to spin their wheels.

There are guys ready to bust out all over and they have no idea how to sustain momentum. It's maddening.

On a happy note, the part of Megan Miller was played by an actual wrestler. In Lance Storm's latest blog post, he mentioned that Daniel Bryan's purported physical therapist was played by Chelsea Green, who graduated from Storm Wrestling Academy back in January. Now, I'm all in favor of quashing this storyline as quickly as possible, but if they decide to drag it out, at least there's a chance Brie will end up wrestling someone who's actually trained. (As far as I know, there have been no mentions of her signing to NXT, so I assume it was a one shot cameo, of which we can be thankful.)

Put me down for "Batista returns as a babyface to challenge Lesnar at NOC." As CBR's Albert Ching suggested, hopefully doing the complete Drax gimmick, with Torito as a raccoon and Groot Khali.

Hey, Daniel Bryan, what did you think of RAW?

IGN: Well, you know, it's wrestling... anything can be brought into it! [Laughs] So for you, was that like, "Okay... I guess that's going to be an element"?

Daniel Bryan: Yeah, to me, it's groan-worthy. I don't think it added anything to the story. It was just like, "Ugh!" But, you know, they do what they do, and you just gotta roll with the punches. It's funny, because I feel like sometimes you just have to overcome these things more so than anything else. Like, Brie and Stephanie have to overcome that flaw. To me, that was a flaw in the story. The story was so good, and then here's this flaw in it. But it's whatever. It doesn't hurt my feelings or anything, you know? It's entertainment. It's not real, so okay.

Pretty cool new day when an upper level WWE wrestler can take direct shots at a WWE top storyline involving a McMahon while it's going on.

(or maybe not.)

I tracked it down on The Network, and you're absolutely right. This is a great hype piece, infinitely better than anything else they've done for the build. Also amusing is the description of the special on The Network: "... openly share their raw- and occasionally NSFW- views..." I'm not sure if wwe knows what NSFW actually means. Or maybe they did research and found that The Network is mostly watched at work by subscribers.

Is there any chance that Lesnar goes into business for himself? He's crazy enough to do it, and definitely strong enough and a good enough fighter. Or he wins this time but when it's time to drop the belt, he gets in the ring and refuses. Who stops him? That's the compelling storyline for this, but I doubt they do it.

All kidding aside, it is the ideal way to make him a face.
In line with Drax, destroys someone and shouts "That's a metaphore!!"
Or, if he can steal one from Star-Lord, He faces HHH who is all pissed off, and he starts a dance off / sings 'child, things will get easier'.

Having seen GotG, it's easy to see why they first tried to bring Batista back as a babyface, because he is pretty awesome as Drax. I wouldn't mind a 'Batista got too in-character' run with Big Dave in the Drax makeup, even moreso if you turn Great Khali into Groot. Have him solve all his problems in a straightforward and violent manner, only using Batista Bombs instead of sharp knives. El Torito as Rocket would just be the icing on the cake.

Too bad Dave's last return run was so badly bungled I doubt he's really up for another try. Though it was less Creative ruining his character and more a matter of them trying to insist on the storyline they had planned for him and refusing to acknowledge the rising tide of indignation from the audience. Batista just got caught in the middle, though his own reaction to the fan revolt didn't help him any.

Why, oh, why, could Michael Cole not have been on that trip. Tonights RAW will be HHH and the Smackdown crew. What is the over/under of HHH appearances tonight? I'm going with four. The biggest holes on Monday's RAW are the assholes who will be there?...
