Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

I mean, I remember reading plenty about when they were planning on uniting the titles.

Personal inclination and logic. There's no way they can have Brock as the champion long-term and not split up the titles. Brock isn't going to start doing house shows and RAW every week without a gigantic bump in pay, and his contract is expensive enough without all the budget cuts they've been making in recent months. And WWE isn't going to have months of weekly TV and house shows without their champion showing up. One month is digestible but then after that it will start to be a drag on business. (And no, Heyman making appearances on Brock's behalf won't cut it.) So if Brock wins Sunday, it's either going to be a short reign, or the titles are going to be split. "Neither" isn't an option. The dirt sheets have missed plenty before (Cena's comeback at the Rumble in '08 being a vivid one since I was in attendance at that show) and they just got hoodwinked a month ago into reporting the Big Gold Belt was being retired just because Cena passed it off to Flair on-screen, so the fact they haven't been reporting on a potential belt split is meaningless.

Wouldn't be a smart move because then creative would have to do more work to write meaningful storylines for the midcard instead of them having randomly fight over the belt. (Consider that they suck at that now and imagine how much worse it would get when they can't use the IC title in that fashion any more.) Plus the IC title barely gets enough attention right now and the US title is a glorified prop; the fanbase isn't just going to accept either as having top of the card value overnight. The WHC is the only option if they want (or need) to have a second top title.

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

Just watch. I think they're going to sacrifice the Champ being Here so that when our great hero Roman Reigns rescues the title from its hostage situation he will have truly slain a dragon, bringing peace to the Universe.

BONUS: Brock Lesnar beats Seth Rollins. Authority's plan is for Lesnar to lay down for Rollins - they talked about it in secret! But then... Lesnar balks. Eats Rollins live in the ring. Authority needs help, tries everything until next March, when Reigns rules all.

Going very fast, since I will be on vacation for a couple of weeks starting tomorrow afternoon, but will have to watch it On Demand in a couple weeks when I get back (got to get through the Hogan B-day party first).

1) Cena/Lesnar (WWE World Heavyweight Title Match) - Lesnar with the F5, will receive the new belt on Raw.

2) Stephanie/Brie Bella - Brie with some fluky pin, but Stephanie will get last laugh at the end.

3) Ambrose/Rollins (Lumberjack Match) - Rollins with the Curb Stomp, Ambrose gets carried out...again (with the rate he's going, he will be mummified by the start of 2015).

4) AJ/Paige (Divas Title Match) - Paige with the PTO, and each will continue the trade-offs for a while.

5) Wyatt/Jericho - Wyatt with Sister Abigail after Rowan/Harper pop out to distract.

6) Reigns/Orton - Reigns with the spear.

7) Miz/Ziggler (IC Title Match) - Miz with a rollup with tights, but Ziggler famousers Miz's moneymaker to the canvas.

8) Swagger/Rusev (Flag Match) - Swagger captures the flag for the win...but Cole and Co. will continue to say that Rusev has never been pinned or submitted in the WWE.

John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar, WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: I agree that they wouldn't have Lesnar break the streak if he's not going to win the title.

Brie Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon: Stephanie via Nikki interference.

Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton: I'm going to go against the grain here and say Orton.

Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins, Lumberjack Match: Like I said on a previous Raw thread, Ambrose and Rollins have spent their entire careers dominating the WWE so the logical way to end is this is have the entire roster beat the crap out of both of them, but instead it will probably be interference by the Authority to help Rollins win.

A.J. Lee vs. Paige, Divas Championship Match: AJ Lee.

Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt: Bray Wyatt

Jack Swagger vs. Rusev, Flag Match: I'm going with Rusev.

The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler, Intercontinental Championship Match: The WWE gains some points by having Ziggler win the IC title, only to lose it in the near future to Heath Slater.

Brock Lesnar.

Stephanie McMahon.

Reigns.

Seth Rollins. This really should of been falls count anywhere. The exact opposite of the this.

A.J. Lee.

Bray Wyatt.

Jack Swagger.

Dolph Ziggler. When's Barrett back? A unification title match with two faces can work.

RVD. I have no faith in them letting Cesaro win. Part-timers go 2-1 on this card.

WWE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
John Cena (C) VS Brock Lesnar

John Cena has won matches over and over again where there's no good reason for him to go over - including Brock's return match in 2012. And this is an instance where there legitimately might be a good reason for him to go over - can the WWE really book Lesnar as the one-and-only world champion with his super part-time schedule? (I see, at most, two more Lesnar matches in 2014.) That said, Brock is as hot of a heel as is humanly possible and jobbing him here would not only be a waste of Brock Lesnar, it would piss all over The Undertaker's legacy to have Brock go down in his very first match after conquering the streak - and to the guy who needs the rub the least in the company no less. But then John Cena tends to do what's best for John Cena as opposed to what's best for the company - just ask Bray Wyatt down there in the midcard. Ugh, it's a huge tossup, but I've got to go with Brock Lesnar.

(Unless The Undertaker shows up and costs Lesnar the match, which is a totally shitty ending but the only karmic way Lesnar can lose this early.)

Main Event
Stephanie McMahon VS One of the Bellas

Steph is great but I think the Bella Twins bring less to the table than anyone else in the company. I can only hope Stephanie McMahon pulls together an entertaining Sports Entertainment Match and wins quickly but I kind of resent the amount of time this angle is getting with the level of talent that isn't on this show. (Hey Usos and Wyatts - way to have the only good match last month! Enjoy standing outside of the ring for...)

Lumberjack Match
Seth Rollins VS Dean Ambrose

No idea why this is a Lumberjack Match of all things, but I've got to hope they've got something cool planned and weren't just looking for a way to get most of the roster involved in what is a fairly thin card, depth-wise. I could see this one going either way, so let's just say Dean Ambrose takes it in what should probably be the best match of the show, goofy gimmick or not. (Your mileage may vary, of course, depending on how much you enjoy watching Brock Lesnar forget wrestling is fake and punching John Cena in the face repeatedly.)

Roman Reigns VS Randy Orton
Reigns hasn't really found himself as a singles worker yet, but I think putting him with the very underrated Orton is probably a good first step. These two should mesh well together and Roman Reigns'll take it in the end.

Flag Match
Jack Swagger VS Rusev

I don't like Zeb Colter as a face. That's the extent of my thoughts here. Rusev wins because I don't see a need to break his undefeated streak with Jack fucking Swagger.

Intercontinental Championship Match
The Miz (C) VS Dolph Ziggler

I only started watching again in January after nearly eight years away from following the product closely, so I totally missed when Dolph Ziggler was interesting and find the Internet's love for him completely inexplicable. I find him to be the most boring guy on the Internet not named Sheamus. Why is a guy who calls himself "the showoff" so milquetoast and bland? Why does he dress like "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn, which looked ridiculous on "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn in 1998? Are you just used to his name because I still can't take that seriously either. I don't know. Anyway, the equally underrated Miz takes this one and Reddit cries themselves to sleep.

Divas Championship Match
AJ Lee (C) VS Paige

Fan of both and I'm really enjoying this feud. I have no doubt Paige will win the belt back eventually, but I don't think it's time to end AJ Lee's new reign yet. Hopefully they let them have something close to what they give Stephanie/Bella and pretend this is an NXT show for a few minutes. Then forgive Emma and call up Charlotte, Bayley and Sasha Banks and give a random coupling fifteen minutes every week. Even if you just do it on Smackdown. I'd watch Smackdown again! People will care about womens wrestling if you give them a reason to.

Chris Jericho VS Bray Wyatt
Hey, look way down here! It's the Eater of Worlds! The hottest heel in professional wrestling just eight months ago! Boy, working with John Cena sure was great for Bray Wyatt's career, huh? Anyway, there's absolutely no good reason for part-time Chris Jericho to go over Bray Wyatt, but there way no good reason for part-time Chris Jericho to go over Bray Wyatt last month either and he did anyway. I'm going to go with my heart and hope this is a win and the start of a rehabilitation for the so-recently-great Bray Wyatt. God, I hope so.

Preshow Match
Cesaro VS Rob Van Dam

I guess I shouldn't complain about what's happened to one of the guys who got me hooked again compared to what happened to the other one. The booking of Cesaro in the past two months or so is just...inexplicable. He doesn't get to be a part of any storylines - he hasn't really had a feud all year, unless you count his two week skirmishes with Jack Swagger and Kofi Kingston and the way his partnership with Paul Heyman vanished overnight still doesn't make sense. (Heyman can do two things! Win or lose, Brock is probably gone for a few months sooner than later.) But then they send him to the WWE2K15 panel today with Cena, Reigns, Sheamus and fucking Hogan and Sting. Sometimes he's a huge star and sometimes he's putting over Dolph Ziggler on Smackdown. It's so inconsistent. All of that said, Cesaro has got to beat Rob Van Dam's doughy uncle Rick before he disappears until next spring, right?

As per usual, the Bizzaro picks.

WWE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
John Cena (C) VS Brock Lesnar

Match of the night contender. Pre-Match the Legends from Hulk Hogan's Happy Birthday Segment on Raw last Monday come out, except for Hall, Nash, and Hogan. Piper has his LARP weapon from Legends' House. Lesnar wins after Paul Orndorff creepily whispers in everyone's ears. Post-Match, Lesnar tells us we can watch Legends' House on the Network for only $9.99.

Main Event
Stephanie McMahon VS One of the Bellas

Match of the night contender. Stephanie pins Brie after a brutal, knockdown, old-fashioned slobberknocker. At one point Stephanie makes the match a Street Fight and they both go through the spanish announce table. After the carnage, Stephanie pins Brie. But what's this? TWIN MAGIC! It was Nikki Bella the whole time! Brie comes out and they ring the bell, Brie pins Stephanie after disrobing her for no real reason.

Lumberjack Match
Seth Rollins VS Dean Ambrose

Match of the night contender. These guys pull out the stops in the ring, then reinvent the Lumberjack Match when both men have to compete in an actual Timbersports© lumberjack competition before they can enter the arena.

Roman Reigns VS Randy Orton
Match of the night contender. Reigns is dressed like Dynamo from The Running Man and even drives the little cart to the ring. Orton counters the Superman Punch into the RKO for a cool pin.

Flag Match
Jack Swagger VS Rusev

Match of the night contender. Lana comes out first and sucks the wind out of the arena by reading the first 30 pages of Crime and Punishment. Rusev comes out dressed as Buzzsaw from The Running Man. Swagger and Coulter come out to a huge ovation, a lot of people say 'We, the People', then Rusev doesn't get pinned or submit.

Intercontinental Championship Match
The Miz (C) VS Dolph Ziggler

Match of the night contender. JBL stops the match before it can begin and says he has a major announcement. He then just says "This!" and points to the top of the ramp. Both Miz and Ziggler stare at the top of the ramp for a full minute while Lawler and Cole speculate on technical difficulties before JBL goes back to his seat, denying the event the rest of his life. Ziggler after a dropkick, a famasser, and a Zig Zag since he really doesn't do any other moves ever.

Divas Championship Match
AJ Lee (C) VS Paige

Match of the night contender. Paige makes her way to the ring only to be ambushed by AJ Lee jumping out of the same giant present Ambrose jumped out of, making Paige look rediculous since everybody could see AJ in the box since it was already ripped open and they spent a full 15 minutes of the PPV watching AJ bring the box out. Paige wins with a PTO after destroying the box, once and for all.

Chris Jericho VS Bray Wyatt
Match of the night contender. Wyatt. Jericho is dressed like Fireball from The Running Man, even flying the little jetpack on the way to the ring. Wyatt comes out and points out his entrance is still cooler, since this whole feud is really all about who has the coolest entrance where the lights go out and isn't the Undertaker.

Preshow Match
Cesaro VS Rob Van Dam

Match of the night contender. Cesaro. RVD has a new singlet that has a picture of Subzero from The Running Man on it. Cesaro catches RVD with the Uppercut then wins via his Neck Wrench into Cradle Pancake Slam.
