I guess the goal was to carpetbomb the first post-Donald episode with a guest star in every speaking part. I thought the episode was wonderfully season 1-esque in its laid-back campus stakes (particularly shaded in the Duncan/Chang interactions), although I guess the byzantine inner workings of Greendale is more of a season 2 thing.
For only being in four episodes, Buzz Hickey already feels like a vital and vibrant Community character. John Oliver is going to have a much more daunting task filling the Troy void, but he's fantastic in and of himself ("you might ask, uh, WHAT DO YOU MEAN?"). Plus Brie Larson, one of those "intense bursts of compatibility with a girl we never see again," was a welcome incorporation from what seems to be the majority opinion best part of season gas leak.
Also there was a lot of very funny vintage Dan Harmon punchlines-imbedded-in-dialogue jokes.
Any chance Bloodline of Conquest has something to do with D&D part 2?
Lost in how much I'm enjoying this season is the almost perverse hilarity that Parks & Rec is already coming back next year and Community almost certainly is too. It's the Daniel Bryan of NBC. It seems like Dan getting kicked off the show will actually end up being the most stabilizing thing for both him and Community in the long run.
I am thoroughly enjoying the further incorporation of Garret and Fat Neil in various awesome ways this season.
Fantastic episode. Loved the whole thing.

Since, for whatever reason, nobody seems to be talking about the first good show MTV has had in years. I figured I'd give my review of the season 1 DVD and make comments on Tuesday nights season premiere.
