I had a Jeep Wrangler for the past 7 years. And then I got married last year and my wife is now pregnant so the time came to sell that and get a more practical 2014 Cherokee.

This summer I bought a $500 1990 Civic 4-speed HB winter beater with just about that many miles on it.
Because it is so old, the Geico multi-car discount actually dropped my insurance $20/6 months because the added cost of the Civic was less than my discount.

I traded it off... like six years ago. Now I have a yellow 2004 Matrix which is still pretty okay for now.

How do you like your Smart Car? I love mine - it gets lots of attention at work (most of my co-workers drive tracks and vans) but the gas mileage is incredible.

Donated that Civic to charity about a year later.
This past Wednesday, I traded in my 2005 Mustang GT with just under 91K miles for a 2013 Chevy Volt, certified used, with about 42000 miles.
The electric motor gets almost as much peak torque as the Mustang does, but at 0 RPM, so I am very happy with how it drives. And, it can fit 2 grown adults in the back seats.
We purchased a 2015 Subaru Forester for our daughter with 14,000 miles on it as she is in Greeley now. Very nice vehicle with AWD and a cvt that gets around 34 mpg expect on the interstates when it drops to 28. Comfortable with good sight-lines.

Still wicked cheap and drive a 2007 Subaru Impreza.
The piewife and the piesons drive the 2011 Kia Sorento. The piesons only drive this one because they can't drive the standard shift Subaru! Bwahahahaha.
One son still drives the 2011 Kia Sorento.
The 2007 Impreza needed a ton of work, so I traded it for a 2009 Honda Accord, that I drive and my daughter with the permit drives.
Bought a 1995 Ford Taurus that is a sweet mint green color driven by the oldest son.
Also just recently got a 2016 Kia Sorento that none of the kids is allowed to drive.
So, yes 4 cars with 5 drivers in the Pie Household.

Still have the Matrix, though it's been relegated to backup car status. We just bought a 2016 Mazda CX-5, which is very nice.

Mrs. Dunk has a 2003 Saab Aero Wagon with stick (I want her car)
8 years later I have a 2011 Jeep Overland and my wife has a 2012 Ford Expedition. We also have a 2011 Subaru Wagon 6 speed stick for the long drives.
Still have all 3 cars listed above plus a 2015 Mini Cooper. The Manual Subaru is being traded in soon for an automatic since I will have another child driving in a very short time.
Update: sold the Civic not too long after then, got my ex-wife's old 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander (it had been financially totaled but was still fixable, and I needed a car that was better in the snow). Seven months later, I totaled THAT, and since then, I've been driving my ex-brother in law's 2002 CR-V. Which I'm pretty sure is now begging for the sweet release of death after moving me from Long Island to Massachusetts...

I still drive the 01 Ranger, and I have a 69 VW Bug that's a little bit of a project car. When the cosmetics are done on it, I'm thinking about doing an electric conversion. (money.cnn.com)

Hubby says he wants one. He thought of making the Charger electric but why ruin a classic?
