I had to stop so many times while watching due to uncontrollable laughter.

Toby's exploding head was funny, only to be topped by his headless body continuing to sit there.

And now, the whole movie is available on iTunes!

I loved the various old characters that kept popping up in the movie, but perhaps my favorite was Roy being one of the hostages, with no focus on him and no lines.

"The joke's on you, Goldenface ... that man was a convicted animal rapist."

I must admit, I had no recollection of "Threat Level Midnight" having ever existed in "The Office" continuity, but The AV Club helped set me straight.

Wow, that was at least a one night return to form for The Office. I am sure it warrants a second viewing to catch the jokes I missed while laughing.

Like the Jim/Pam wedding, it would have made a nice series finale, or at least a Michael send-off.

LOVED this show tonight.

I liked seeing the older people back, and Oscar in the blue Body Suit ala Apollo Ono was hilarious. I had to stop the DVR and watch it a few times. Great episode. Wish all the shows were this funny this season.

I am getting the feeling Michael Scott's exit will be more painful than happy. Not sure how I feel about that.

I loved the repeating Toby exploding head but I wonder why the special effects budget was so high. Also, how'd he get ANN PERKINS to do a cameo*?

* Yes, I know that's Karen. Shu'up

I liked how Jim, who's usually above such excess merriment, had the lead villain role in the flick. I would've expected it to be Dwight/Dwigt (Toby or Creed would've worked too). So I'm glad that the writers included Jim. The excuse of "I was doing it to impress the receptionist" seemed like a cover story; the real reason seemed to be that sometimes Jim likes to let his hair down and be all geeky (like when Pam accidentally saw Jim's avatar in the Sims video game a few seasons back). It made him somewhat more realistic.

Creed as Cherokee Jack was just so bizarre...and it worked. Loved it. Of course, let's not forget Todd Packer was on-hand to mutter another juvenile homosexual line.

I was a little surprised that Ryan didn't have a larger role, considering Michael's long-running man-crush on him (unless that was hidden in the details. Feel free to help me out).

Oh, and ANN PERKINS was looking quite bang-able in her little on-screen cameo.

Michael asking Holly if she was worried where the success of his movie might take him was a hoot.

Then I started to wonder if the writers would dare follow that line of thinking and Threat Level Midnight would somehow catch the eye of a Hollywood big shot, thus leading to Scott's departure from Dunder Mifflin. After all, they did tell Michael he should enter the movie in festivals (and carnivals!). Nahhhh, that could never happen.

...right?

"I'm gonna lure him here, then I'm gonna kill everybody, THEN I'm gonna dig up Scarn's dead wife and I'm gonna hump her real good!"

The greatest unanswered question of The Office:

Why is it Rashida Jones seems so much hotter as Karen Filippelli on The Office than she does as Ann Perkins on Parks and Recreation?

No present-day Roy talking head made me worried that he might be dead. (Probably looking too much into that one.)

Really? Even though he was able to show enough maturation to realize he shouldn't take his movie so seriously?

My biggest concern for the show post-Steve Carrell is that there's no character left to develop in the same manner that Michael Scott has developed over the course of the last seven seasons. Jim got Pam, and apparently is doing pretty well financially. Dwight will always be Dwight. Andy will eventually get Erin. Pam... well, I guess, but I can't really see them building the show around her. The rest are minor characters that could step up, but... ehhhh...

Michael Scott has gone from the annoying, idiotic, unsympathetic boss to the plucky hero of the show (especially since Jim and Pam hooked up), so, unless they go a whole new route with the show, I don't see anyone who ties everything together as well as the Michael Scott character. And rebooting with another annoying, idiotic, unsympathetic boss would just be a "been-there done-that" bad idea.

Oh, and I really like this episode as well. Pam's mom was especially terrific.

It sounded like Moe from the Simpsons was the inspiration for Andy's bartender character, but my girlfriend said he also sounded like the bartender from Sex and the City. I wouldn't know.

Speaking of inspirations, I definitely got a Saved by the Bell vibe with Cherokee Jack as Michael Scarn's mentor, the same way that Indian dude was to Running Zack...he too died in the episode and came back to Zack in a dream, just like Cherokee Jack!
