The decision is in and Bill Simmons has decided he will remain a Clippers season ticketholder. He made the announcement on Sportsnation and it did not even take one hour to get an answer.

A great day for Clippers fan. The Clippers is the perfect place for Simmons.

His observations of the state of Clippers Nation make for good reading. The material's too good to set aside.

He's probably too frugal to buy Lakers tickets, so it makes sense to keep his Clippers tickets.

If only there was another reason for Celtics fans to not get Lakers season tickets.

This worked only because he got the shirt.

a day after the world cup final, Simmons is back to mocking Soccer.

I guess the 4 Letter's microchip had an expiration date.

It's a nice gimmick and I'm sure in the end the tickets don't cost him much, but what will he do if they actually become good?

He didn't lose too much steam the year the Clips made the conference semis. If anything, it actually challenged him to take a different angle on the Clips. And as a writer, he'd probably thrive on the challenge.

If he has lower-level seats near center court, it looks like around $6000 a ticket.

In the past, Simmons has said he went in with another person.

So, if he gets half the tickets and there are two seats, it would be $6 grand or so.

A superficial google search did not reveal commensurate Lakers tickets, since they appear to be sold out.

The odds of this were pretty long even before they hired Del Negro to coach. Simmons will be writing anti-Clippers columns for years to come.

The primary point of him having the season tickets is so he can watch the games live and make opinions on players, refs, benches, etc. that he couldn't on TV. There hasn't been a lot of Clippers-centric material the last few years.

It is the policy of the documentary crew to remain true observers and not interfere with its subjects.

But the Clipper-centric tweets have been GOLD!

I love that Simmons wore the same style shirt that Lebron wore.

Weren't people saying that Shaq and Lebron together were a lock for a title? Nothing is guaranteed.

(Tee hee, LeBron to the Hawks, that's a good one!) From what non-Hawks fans know of Joe Johnson, this probably looks like the most idiotic, most undeserved contract of all the big name free agents.
