It's surely too much to ask that idiot Bettman actually consider putting a team in a thriving hockey market rather than try to 'leave a footprint' in another southern U.S. market that doesn't care about the game.
I don't think anyone has a problem with a thriving hockey market getting a team. I personally have a problem with said place being Hamilton, though. Aren't the Sabres and Maple Leafs enough for southern Ontario? Spread the wealth!

I think they should go to Winnipeg. The city has a brand-spanking new arena and I'm sure they are dying for the NHL to return. Under the new economics of the league, the franchise could thrive.
Litter is my most treacherous foe. I would like to eat its children.
Frankly, I never understood how they keep the name East Coast Hockey League after the WHL merger that put teams in Anchorage, Bakersfield, Fresno, San Diego, Las Vegas, etc.
