Leticia is talking to Jim Cornette in Cornette's office -- also present is MATT MORGAN, in suit and dark glasses, making this the second week in a row that a WWE washout had debuted in TNA. KEEP THE STREAK ALIVE. Leticia's outfit is very cute -- it looks like she just got back from a Nu Shooz concert.

Team 3D burst in and want a rematch for their titles -- but Cornette says they have to wait until after Hard Justice (this Sunday on PPV!). He leaves to make an announcement in the ring, taking Morgan with him.

And here he is in the ring. Abyss, by winning the match last week, gets to name his match at Hard Justice. Christian Cage and his Coalition interrupt here, and Cornette tells them that Abyss has chosen a 6-man tag -- the Coalition vs. Abyss, Sting, and "The Punisher" Andrew "Test" Martin -- but it's going to be in the SIX SIDES OF STEEL. Oh, and there's going to be BARBED WIRE around the top. Oh, one more thing -- because Abyss is crazy -- before you can pin your opponent, that opponent MUST BE BLEEDING. ALSO -- the guy that gets the pin gets a TITLE SHOT at the next PPV! Okay!

And then Abyss, Martin and Sting show up and beat down the Coalition. (Ah, "Abyss, Martin and Sting" -- what a good song.)

Kurt Angle shows up -- his shirt is half tucked in and e's sobbing. He asks Jeremy Borash for a hug. Borash: "Kurt...when was the last time you took a bath?" Kurt: "You heartless bastard!"

Good video package for PACMAN JONES. It shows him training in the ring! He's going to be at Hard Justice. (I don't follow football, and don't know anything about him other than that he's apparently something of an asshole. So I don't have any real opinion about this yet, good or bad, except for a basic "assholes shouldn't get rewarded for being assholes" sentiment.)

Raven & James Storm & Robert Roode vs. Rhino & Frankie Kazarian & Chris Harris: This is a "House of Fun" match, and it's a fine little hardcore match (if totally out of the blue). Man, they gotta stop using cookie sheets in these things -- they always make me think of Crash Holly comedy matches. Highlights include Raven coming off the second rope with an elbow through Kaz -- lying on a table -- on the outside, and later Kaz goes for a suicide dive but get nailed with a garbage can lid and hits the floor hard. At the end, Kaz Yakuza kicks Raven through a table, but eats a mallet shot from Roode, who then pins Kaz with the Payoff (Perfectplex).

Samoa Joe has a special "mystery" guest tonight!

Another video package -- "BLACK REIGN" is coming to Hard Justice! Black Reign...Reign...OMG THEY'VE SIGNED LUTHER REIGNS! MAYBE! (Oh, wait -- I guess it's just Dustin Rhodes. Never mind! Well, it's better than "Platinum.")

Angle is crying to Dr. Kevin Nash -- he's lost everything -- his wife, his kids, his house -- "well...I still have this word title. And...I still have this world title. And I...still have this tie..." Nash yells at him and tells him he's "perfect" -- this perks Angle up a little.

Kip James and Brother Devon vs. Homicide and Rick Steiner: Okay, James and Devon are heels, and Homicide and Rick are faces -- jut in case you were having trouble keeping up (I know I am). James has Roxxi Lebeau with him -- she seems to have cut way down on her twitching, which s good.

Surprisingly, Homicide OWNS Kip in this -- faster and smarter at every turn, making Kip look like a lumbering oaf. Finally, though, after Devon cheats and grabs Homicide's ankles, Kip sneaks in a Fameasser and gets the pin. Everyone's partners run down and the good guys clear the ring.

Joe is in the ring. His guest is -- suprise! -- Karen Angle. They commiserate. To be honest, I FFWDed through most of this. Kurt Angle comes out, and, joined by Team 3D, beats down Joe. The Steiners, too late, make the save. Scott Steiner checking on Joe -- weird.

So, yeah. Not a very good show. Hard Justice looks uninspiring. TNA continues to chip away at the things I like -- too bad -- the two months before this month were pretty good. This month, not so much.

Not a good show at all.

- The hardcore match was decent. I'm always amazed at how poorly Raven has aged. He looks terrible. Being fat doesn't help, but the bald spot makes him look even worse.

That Devon/Kip James vs Homicide/Rick Steiner match was horrible and might be one of the worst matches I've seen in quite some time. What a train wreck. I will have to remember to nominate this one for worst match of the year.

Rick Steiner looks like a freaking retard in his wrestling outfit. The headgear was alright when he was younger, but the headgear and tights do not fit his new image or that of a old man that doesn't even use a wrestling hold anymore.

The last interview did nothing to make me want to see this match. I think they would have been better off making this an intense feud instead of a comedy/drama type feud.

ECW is putting out better shows right now while serving as a C level show and with far less talent. Amazing.

I think I really like Roxxi Leveau, because she clearly has absolutely no idea what a "voodoo queen" is supposed to do or how to behave. She just stands around with the blankest look in the world on her face, like she's hoping inspiration will just strike her out of the blue.

I haven't watched TNA in a while, but snuck a peek last night to check the Pacman Jones thing. That "House of Fun" match looked like something you'd set up in your backyard when you're wrestling with friends. And the match was not good- especially when they had to sell the trash can lids and stuff.

I don't really think of Morgan as "WWE washout". I always thought he had potential, and that the E gave up on him too soon. I saw him at the movies here once when he was in OVW and he was a MONSTER.

The show sucked this week, but Nash, as usual, was a highlight. As good as Angle was at playing the role of a man who lost everything, you don't want your World champ looking like a sniveling puss going into this big match. The whole think made Joe look like a dick. I now think Angle goes over at the PPV.

A while back I said that I had seen every Impact back to the FSN days, but at the rate they were going, I wouldn't be watching when my fiancee came back.

Well, she came back last week, and I still watched most of the show. This week, I didn't catch a moment of it.

Pacman Jones? Angle's family doing a creepily Benoitesque angle? "Black Reign"? *Another* Roode/Young blowoff for the PPV? Boy, I'm not sorry I missed it.

"The injunction strictly bars Jones from participating in any TNA event, as a "wrestler, spectator, announcer, participant or otherwise ..." "

OK, hold it. I can live with the whole "they don't want him doing anything that might cause him to tear an ACL and retire" deal, but can they honestly say that if Pacman buys an 8th row ticket, sits down in his seat, and does nothing more physical than, say, hold up a sign that says "*click* DOOMDSDAY!" on it, they're gonna lock him up?

He's an American, he can do whatever the fuck he wants as long as he's not violating any laws, I don't know jack shit about what he did or didn't do (all I know is he brought the term "making it rain" into the lexicon, and I dont't know what that means, either(and if it's nasty, DON'T tell me)) but this is starting to turn into a fucking witch hunt. If I'm Pacman, I call TNA, tell them "OK, we gotta call off the original plan, but can y'all get me front row?", show up, wave a few signs, NOT touch any of the wrestlers, and leave. And if the NFL or the Titans start shit, sue them into chapter 11 on 1st amendment grounds.

Just because one poor soul offed himself and his family does NOT mean the entire fucking industry is evil. Pricks.

Usually I'm totally on the side of the team, but I do think this is too far. It's probably entirely legal for them to limit him from doing something like this.

But it doesn't seem fair. He's been suspended for a year from the NFL. That means he can't practice with the team at all. Apparently the Titans will bar him from making money in any method that could lead to him getting injured. So I guess he's just supposed to sit at home and do nothing for a year? Come back all fat?

Yeah -- I read that Cornette himself thinks pretty highly of Morgan, which means that I'll give him a chance. A-Mart, on the other hand, gets no such pass from me.

Don't worry -- it means to throw stacks of cash into the air at a strip club, and the bills "rain" down on the strippers. (Although there are probably deeper, nastier meanings, too -- DON'T THINK ABOUT THEM)

It's not like he was suspended for jaywalking. And if the Titans are gonna keep him under contract and guarantee him a job when he returns from his suspension, they can tell him to do whatever the Hell they want him to do. It's nothing to do with "freedom of speech". The guy brought this punishment on himself - it's not supposed to be a holiday from his contract where he can go out and do whatever he wants then come back to play some football.

And seriously, sit at home and get fat? How are the Titans barring him from keeping his physical fitness intact? There's these things called gyms, ya know. And running tracks!

To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

I didn't explain myself very well there.

It just seems unfair that he's been banned from his job for a year, and when he tries to do something else, they say "Hey, you can't do that. You're still under contract with us." Being athletic is probably the only thing PMJ is good at. By banning him from getting paid at any job where he could put his athleticism to use, the Titans are not allowing him to work. Instead, they just expect him to continue to do his job (staying in shape, getting ready for next year) without getting paid for it.

The Titans should just let him do it. If he does get hurt, he's in breach of contract, and they terminate it. If he's ever cleared to play again, they're going to have to cut him anyway. He's never going to want to play for them again, not after the way they've treated him in this offseason.

First off, you didn't mention freedom of speech, but CEOIII did and that's what Oldschoolhero was referring to (although it appeared after quoting you, which was confusing).

As for what seems unfair, it all depends on what his contract says. If the terms of his deal say he can get suspended without pay for criminal activity, it's not unfair to suspend him. If the terms say he isn't allowed to do anything physical while suspended, then it's not unfair to keep him from doing such. Remember that he has, by all accounts, committed acts which legitimately warrant punishment.

Now, trying to prevent him from even speaking or showing up at a TNA event does seem to go to far, but, again, if he signed a contract which allows them to stop him from doing that, then I can't complain. They may well be going beyond what the contract allows them to do, though. (Seems typical in this sort of litigation, from my limited knowledge.)

The courts granted the Titans the restraining order that would have prevented Jones from showing up at the TNA event:

http://www.star-telegram.com/329/story/198557.html

However, Jones and the Titans have reached an agreement that will allow Jones to appear at the event, but not to wrestle or do anything that could risk injury. Of course, if Jones does not wrestle, he may in fact be breaking the agreement he has with TNA.

But it's a court order that prevents him from doing anything with TNA. I doubt they'd have a leg to stand on if they tried to go after him for breach of contract. They just have to learn to not employ NFL start currently under contract and move on.

My TiFaux counted 20 minutes before we had a match. No es bueno, TNA. Pick it up.

They have stockpiled the Samoa Joe/Angle match with a trove of gold belts and now the wife and kid. And none of this makes me the least bit interested in either guy as a champion. This kind of grudge match shouldn't have all this excess. Nor should the main event be so top heavy. But I do like Christian Cage repeatedly complaining about his title loss and need for a rematch. Finally a main-eventer who wants the title because he just wants the title.

I don't care about Pacman Jones, but TNA couldn't have done much better to get mainstream publicity. And after the Vick scandal, Jones isn't the NFL's No.1 bad guy anymore. However, I don't see him coming in and showing up The NASCAR Guy or The Country Singer or The Baseball Player in their short match work, even if he was cleared to wrestle. He can't be the second coming of Kevin Greene, can he? (shakes magic eight ball) No, no he can't.

I miss Raven's all-white garb and posture. Now, he's just doing his decade-old ECW stuff.

Well, *I* didn't say anything about freedom of speech either, I mentioned the 1st amendment, which gives us the right to go whereever the blue hell we want as long as we're not breaking any laws or hurting anyone. (the "right to assemble")

But they're gonna let him show up anyway, he's just not permitted "to touch or be touched, use or be hit by any object or anything else that could injure him."

So, he's either a high-profile fan, or let him sit with Tenay and West.
