There was a light heavyweight indy wrestler, approx. 1998-1999, that people went nuts for and were desperate for the WWF to sign him to a developemental deal. It seesms like every week, Jim Ross was mentioning him on his Ross Report.

I think he used to wear green cargo pants, had tatoos all over, and was a high flyer. I think he finally signed with WWF, but was never called to the main roster.

WHAT WAS HIS NAME? For whatever reason, I can't remember and it bothers me.

Rusty Shackleford is just the name he uses to order Pizza with.

EDITED

I was thinking Reckless Youth, but upon checking his O.W.W. (onlineworldofwrestling.com) profile, he doesn't have any tattoos.

This guy, did he have any notable matches?

You know what? It was Reckless Youth. I dunno why I thought he had tatoos. Thanks much!

I remember him. I never saw him wrestle, but he definitely was in the "Everyone on the internet is going nuts over this guy I've never seen before and clamoring for the WWE or WCW to sign him up because he is the awesomest unsigned wrestler in the U.S. today" spot that C.M. Punk held for awhile before he finally got picked up by WWECW.

When Reckless was in developmental in Memphis, he was slated to be one of the "new freebirds."

He's basically retired these days, now that he is married and has kid)s).

He was doing MCW shows last year and had a pretty good match in the last Shane Shamrock Cup event.

I caught him a couple of years ago at an MCW match, and I hate hyperbole, but the guy was simply amazing, and was the class show of the night that night.

Then again, I think Buff Bagwell was on the card, so...

I think Reckless just started doing shows for MCW right when I stopped working for them back in 2001.

I do believe he only does wrestling every so often. I think Quack said as much during his F4W interview a few week ago. When I interview Quack a couple days ago, I think Reckless' name only came up briefly (regarding when he left CHIKARA).

I feel bad for saying this, but what I remember most about Reckless Youth/Tom Carter was him no-showing many shows in the Northeast. Every time I would hear about him wrestling at an indy show, by the time the show started he was nowhere to be found. I think he got a rep for that as well.

If true, it's great to hear there's flexibility in the deal and that we won't necessarily be subjected to the "3/4 matches a year" trend we've been seeing since Brock signed on.
