Say I navigate to a product on Amazon via The W, then save the item in my Amazon shopping cart for later purchase. When I do come back & buy the item, does The W still get the brownie points for that purchase? (i.e. Does the Amazon shopping cart retain the information that I vectored there through The W?)

<shrug> Uhdnuh. You could check your cookies or something, but I have no idea. I'm not inclined to force you into going through us EVERY time you want to get to Amazon, either, so let's just say that unless you're buying something REALLY expensive, we'd be perfectly willing to gamble away our nickel and will be just fine if we don't happen to end up with a commission. (The guy pretending to handle the money might have some other answer for you, though.)
Hey now. I handle all of the nickles, thanks very much. I just don't pay the bills
We will get credit for items added to the shopping cart during the period of time after you access Amazon. Referral information for that purchase is stored server side along with the item in the cart. You can buy it a lot later and we still get credit.
Still, if you are buying a large item (Thanks to whoever bought the GPS!) it is best to hit the link right before hand and select the item then. Two reasons for this a) a non-amazon seller might have a better "New and Used" price than when you put it in the cart b) I'm paranoid.
One day I may actually pay all the bills (and assume all of the liability). Probably not any time soon though.
Okey-dokey-thankyew. (Just for curiosity, when I was heading to Amazon to do the batch purchase, I went into Amazon through here -- it'd be really nice if they gave you nickles for the whole shopping cart -- a mixture of items saved from here & items saved from elsewhere.)
Don'tcha be scoffin' at my individual nickles though. I may not be buying a GPS, but a few professional-level cookbooks & technical manuals can start to add up! :-)
