I reviewed the first game between the AV's and Wings at this here link.

As great as it was to see McCarty come up big, I didn't see anyone other than Federov sustaining any type of offensive pressure for the Wings. Game 2 should be a good one.
Also, anyone else notice how Patrick Roy begins to over react to everything after he makes a mistake?? I've noticed him cough up the puck and have it cost him a goal, not on purpose of course, but then he'll start the 'playing the part'. I'm sure he knows that the fans and the announcers are thinking that 'he's off his game and not playing well' after he misplays the puck the first time, so then he'll play the puck again and purposely trip himself up or pretend like he lost the puck just to keep the thought that 'he's off his game' in everyone's mind....thus setting up a BIG performance on his part in the next game. I've seen him do this many times and I was wondering if anyone else noticed.

datsyuk played pretty well too...yzerman gimping around certainly doesn't help the cause.
Marge: Mr. Scorpio, this house is almost too good for us. I keep expecting to get the bums rush. Scorpio: We don't have bums in our town, Marge, and if we did, they wouldn't rush, they'd be allowed to go at their own pace.
Perhaps he isn't that strong mentally once he makes an error and really screws up. And he does have the strength to look back at it afte the game and forget it, only to focus on the task ahead.
If i found out my goalie would make mistakes on purpose I would tape him to the goal and let guys like Probert Manson and fuck..lets throw in Fleury as well, have their way with him.

When Patrick Roy derails he does it like the Train chasing Harrison Ford in "The Fugitive" - I saw him self-destruct in NYC this year when he went for his third shutout in a row - I doubt he does it on purpose but if history is any indication - he will come up huge tonight - I hope he fights Hasek too.....

The goal given up against Maltby when Colorado was on the power play was just horrid. I could see it coming but Patrick couldn't, apparently. And then one off his skate! D'oh! At least they did win. I'm thinking both series are going to go 6-7 games.
And yes, there has to be a Hasek-Roy fight. PLEASE, let there be a Hasek-Roy fight.
